Mountain House's Four-Serving Blueberry Cheesecake is a great addition to a canoe camping expedition or just a luxurious treat on a backpacking trip. Either way you'll be the most popular person at camp and your dessert will be ready in minutes. And if you're ever in a real jam for a pot luck dinner bring the Cheesecake and wow guests by telling them it's astronaut food.

Bottom Line: Turns any backcountry meal into a delight.

Tastes Yummy!

This is a great addition to a Mountain House dinner while packing. Had this one for a 10 day trip and enjoyed one each night. It was simple to make (like all mountain house meals) and tasted really really good.

Cheesecake Alfresco

Light, fluffy, and real blueberry flavor. Nice crunchy topping adds just the right texture. The best freeze-dried dessert we've ever tried. The package holds 4 reasonable servings, as advertised.

This is an easy sweet add to your dinner in the backcountry. It does not after cooked look all that great, but after a hard day on the trail and you are resting your dogs, just about anything will do. Surprisingly, this does taste great and is really good to eat after a long day hiking to your favorite spot. All of the Mountain House meals I have tried so far have been tasty and will try more out on the next adventure.

Looks gross, but tastes great!

I was really hesitant about this one at first because when you mix the blueberry topping in with the cheesecake, it looks really nasty. Surprisingly, it tasted wonderful! We probably would have eaten every bite, but we got rained out after dinner and tried eating this for dessert after breakfast the next morning...a bit too sweet for breakfast. Suggestion to Mountain House: make your bags burnable!!!
