Merrell Chameleon Iso GTX XCR Hiking Shoe - Men's
Your feet get hot because you like fast-paced hikes, but you also navigate over tricky, wet terrain. So, do you go with breathable shoes or waterproof ones? Let the Merrell Men's Chameleon Iso GTX XCR Hiking Shoes put in their two cents. These lightweight hiking shoes have breathable mesh uppers and waterproof breathable Gore-Tex XCR linings. So, you have airy mesh above the linings which allows hot air to escape. The Chameleon Iso Hiking Shoes don't skimp on support either—protective toe bumpers, air-cushion midsoles, and Ortholite footbeds work with 4mm lugs and Vibram outsoles for trail support and reliable grip.
Bottom Line: Breathable mesh tops the waterproof lining on these lightweight hiking shoes.

Hiking boot ques. I'm 61 yrs, 5'6", 160 lbs (not sure that has any relevance in boot selection!). Starting to do overnite hikes in Grand Canyon w/20 lb pack. @ 10 mi/day. Merrell has been good to feet so far. Looking at MER0080. Your thoughts?
