McNett ReviveX Spray-On Water Repellant for Outerwear - 2006
McNett ReviveX Spray-On Water Repellant for Outerwear will totally restore or create DWR (Durable Water Repellency) to any outerwear that can be washed and tumble dried. When your shell starts to soak in water instead of repelling it, Mcnett's ReviveX is a great solution. Works well for most Gore-Tex and Windstopper garments. ReviveX Water Repellent is durable, non-toxic and non-flammable. *NOTE: Be sure your garments can be tumble-dried; many synthetic outerwear pieces can be destroyed in a conventional drying machine.
Bottom Line: Make your waterproof garments waterproof again.

Helped, but didn't restore original quality

I used the ReviveX on some old snowboarding pants, and it definitely helped, but didn't restore the original level of waterproofing. I can finish the season with these pants, which I wouldn't have been able to do without treatment, but I'll definitely still need a new pair next year. I'll buy this product again to stretch the life of my next pair of pants. Just think, if you buy a $100 pair of pants that last 2-3 seasons, adding another season is like getting $30 back. So for the price, the ReviveX is a killer value.
ReviveX does the job

Probably the most compelling reason to use this product is to totally restore the DWR of garments. That much is a given but be sure and read the instructions and do NOT wash with a detergent-based soap or the whole process goes to poop.
The secondary issue given the fact there are other DWR treatments to be found, is that this one DOES NOT stink like some industrial cleanser. You have been warned. The other major brand has a horrific odor. This does not.
I have used this successfully on Marmot MemBrain jackets (which really benefits as MemBrain loses its DWR very rapidly but is otherwise great), various GoreTex jackets, pants and hats. I treat all of my gear yearly and never, ever experience "wet-out". Works as advertised.
Highly recommended.
