A McNett Gore Tex Repair Kit will keep you from getting wet and uncomfortable when you can't run home. They're quick and easy to apply and provide instant protection from both rain and wind. Each Gore Tex repair kit contains two precut patches that can be securely fastened to the garment with an easy press-on application. After you return home, use an iron to significantly increase both the bond strength and wear life of the Gore-Tex patch. Patches are easy to remove when it's time for permanent repairs .

Works quite a bit better than duct tape repair. A little pricy, but tolerable if maintaining waterproofness is critical.
