Maui Jim Bamboo Sunglasses
The Bamboo Sunglasses bring large, fun flavor to Maui Jim's traditional line with their oversized frames and metal bamboo detailing. Durable yet lightweight grilamid frames smoothly wrap around, while the arms and temples are fashioned like bamboo leaves yet made of metal alloy, adding a little flair when you're out on the town. The lenses have Maui Jim's PolarizedPlus2 technology that helps with eliminating glare and boosting colors, so you can see the exact colors of your favorite designers when you're window shopping. The Bamboos are topped off with anti-corrosive nickel/silver spring hinges that provide an instant and secure fit when you're driving the shopping strip.
Bottom Line: What's wrong with looking good to shop? Nothing as far as Maui Jim is concerned.

I've see and try on almost all of the Maui Jim optics at sporting goods trade shows every year and have never seen a pair that was made in Italy. Unless they're now sourcing the new 2008-2009 styles elsewhere all Maui Jim optics I've ever seen were made in Japan or China depending on the model. They may also make some here in the U.S.only because of the RX requests. Needless to say the Japanese made models seemed typically better quality optically. I own 4 pair of Maui's which are all made in Japan.
