Maui Jim Ka'anapali Sunglasses - Titanium Polarized

The Maui Jim® Ka'anapali is the pinnacle of Maui Jim's ultra-light sport designs. The Ka'anapali is part of the Maui Jim Titanium Sport line of sunglasses. Fashioned from a strong, flexible beta-titanium alloy and combined with impact-resistant polycarbonate lenses, you won't even feel the weight of the Ka'anapalis on your face. Maui Jim's exclusive CLEARSHELL® coating resists scratches and scuffs, and like all Jims, PolarizedPlus® Technology eliminates glare and UV rays. A polarized lens' primary function is to reduce glare—that is, light reflected from a flat surface which greatly diminishes color and contrast. A body of water, a windshield, and even an asphalt road are all notorious producers of polarized light. Polarized lenses are most useful when trying to see through these reflecting surfaces, like when fishing, boating, or driving. Maui Jim sunglasses feature one of the most effective polarized lenses on the market. They are lightweight, tough, and very stylish.

Bottom Line: Style for Hollywood; sport for the dedicated outdoor freak.

broken frames

In 2007 the right temple broke and last week the new frames of one year broke @ the nose bridge. Does anyone else have quality issues with the titanium frames?

Flag

It completely depends on your story as to how they broke. Most of the time something like twisting, hitting, or other stressful behavior has been exerted on the frames, which they don't cover.

Maui Jim Ka'anapali Sunglass

These new shades are awesome. Maui Jim's are well designed, great fit, impeccable optics, and not to mention weightless. Aside from shelling out over $200 bucks, these are perhaps the best shades I have purchase. They beat REVO's, Oakley's, and/or designer easily.

Great Sunglasses!

I've had my eye on these for a long time. They're big enough for my enormous head and don't look like I'm trying to squeeze into a smaller pair of sunglasses. Great glare reduction and top notch style. They're so light that it almost feels like I'm not wearing anything at all. I've seen the larger case that usually comes with these and that would be a positive change. The small case is a tight squeeze for these shades.

Maui Jim's Eyeglasses

The glasses are really wonderful. They block out the glare extremely well and are so light I barely feel them on my bridge. The eyeglass case that came with them was too small for the large lenses and wires. I would expect a more appropriate eyeglass case from the manufacturer, especially in light of the high price tag.
