is this jacket very heavy or bulky? What kind of fabric is it-- it doesn't look like fleece.

Sam,

The fabric is Polartec Power Stretch and it is 100% polyester. I describe it as a light, compressible, and it has a great warmth to weight ratio. It is a bit more expensive but worth it. I think it is my favorite layering piece.
