Marmot Midweight Bottom - Men's

Here's an idea: pull on the Marmot's Midweight Bottom, lace up some black Doc Martins, and see if you get strange looks at the coffee shop. While people question your sanity, at least you'll be comfortable while you wear this soft and stretchy waffle-knit base layer. Marmot gave the Midweight Bottoms a gusseted crotch for movement and a BacteriaStat treatment to fight odors—so you won't offend anyone in the general vicinity (much). If you decide going to the coffee shop in your underwear isn't really your thing, you can always wear these long johns under some ski pants or something.

Bottom Line: Long johns redefined.

Marmot Midweight Bottoms

I ordered these because I was looking for something comfortable and warm with the convenience of a fly. At first I was concerned because the gusseted crotch seemed uncomfortable; the placement of the seams was different than what I am used to. In actual use however, they were never an issue and the garment performed as expected. The sizing is generous and shrinkage is minimal, so if you are in between sizes you may wish to opt for the lesser of the two. The fabric is very comfortable next to the skin and both moisture transport and overall warmth were excellent.

Feels Good

Marmot long undwear is the best stuff I own. I always reach for Marmot base layers first. While Patagonia makes great thermal underwear too, Marmot's wicks away moisture better and feels better against my skin.
