La Sportiva Katana Rock Climbing Shoe - Women's

The La Sportiva Katana climbing shoe for women is designed for easy-in, easy-out convenience. It makes all the difference when you've working tirelessly on a problem for the past half hour and your feet are beat. Two snug fitting VELCRO® closures wrap your foot in opposing directions to give you a fit you can't find in a lace-up. The premium leather and sticky rubber construction wreaks havoc at the crags and in the gym. Slip-lasted and lined, the Katana is magic for bouldering and crushing holds on your project. **La Sportiva recommends buying 1 full size smaller than your street shoe. AVAILABLE FOR NORTH AMERICAN SHIPMENT ONLY.

Bottom Line: An easy shoe to wear for the hardest problems you can find.

Great shoe! No complaints. Amazing rubber and nice comfort even when fit correctly for a climbing shoe.

Feel great on Flintstone feet too!

I have chubby feet and high arches, and these shoes feel like they were made for me. I've worn them bouldering and sport climbing, and I never get blistery. They're super easy to get on and off, but I often just leave them on while I watch friends climb; they're comfortable enough to wear for hours.

Best All-Around Shoes Available

I've used these shoes for several years now and I can't find a better all-around shoe. I use them for crack, slab, bouldering, steep climbing, techno—they are the best, most comfortable shoe I've ever owned. I can't seem to destroy them, so I keep resoling and climb, climb, climb.

Get 'em small!

This shoe is unbelievable. I have really narrow feet, so the women's katana is better than the unisex for heel hooking. Also, this is a great shoe for itsy bitsy little edges (the kind that might not actually exist except in your mind). One word of advice: get them smaller than you think you'll need. I wear a 41 or 42 (10 American) in regular street shoes and I got a 38 in these shoes. The 38.5 was too big. Believe me, the shoes are so comfortable, you can go WAY small.

Best of the best

I discovered how toes were wonderful for climbing since I bought those shoes. I definitively increased my climbing level a bit from the moment I wore them. Many of my friends got them (or the Katana original (yellow)) I we are all very, very satisfied. And they feel like wearing house slippers! Precise on the toe, great adherence, feel like a lizard on a wall since I got them! I'll stay with La Sportiva for my next climbing shoes for sure.

Very good feeling for vertical and technical crags, also really enjoyable for bloudering. Pretty comfortable if you have large feet.
