Lowa Tempest Lo Hiking Shoe - Men's

Wear the versatile Lowa Men's Tempest Lo Hiking Shoe to hike, scramble on rocks, or to go to class or work. The Vibram sole has enough bite to take you along rocky terrain, and the leather upper has enough style for you to wear to work. The Tempests have tiny holes in the cuff lining that allows air to enter the shoes and cool off hard-working feet. Plus, as you walk, the natural pump action of your stride forces water vapor out of these holes, which ensures your feet stay dry. The Tempest hikers wear comfortably for the long haul, thanks to a shock-absorbing PU midsole. This shoe runs large—select a half size below your normal shoe size.

Bottom Line: Buy the multisport Lowa Tempest Lo Shoes to hike, trail run, bike, or go to class.

Lowa Tempest

The new Lowa Tempest is the best thing that has EVER happened to my feet. Great support for the entire foot. I had a painful bunion that is rapidly disappearing because Lowas are so kind to the foot. Lowas are my travel shoes -- quick on/off at airport inspection, comfortable for constant walking, and excellent traction for any terrain. I have two pair, two colors. The Tempest is ALL I wear everywhere

Poor Endurance, but good fit and comfort.

I've owned many pairs of Lowa shoes, due to their excellent comfort and fit. However, on EVERY PAIR, the soles are very thin at the heal and the tread here is often gone within a couple of months. The interiors around the heels also come appart rapidly. Lowas own soles are actually better than the vibram versions.

on my 3rd pair

what can I say? I purchased my first pair in 2001. After wearing them constantly for a few years (yes you read it right: years) I finally got them to a state that looked like that they have seen better days and purchased an other pair. Same fit but better sole (Vibram). Lasted even longer. Eventually that pair got a bit stinky (still looking good though) and decided on replacement. Glad to see that the quality and construction is still the same. I wear these shoes mainly as street wear with an occasional light hike in the park. For serious walking I use a boot (several different types, according to terrain). I am heavy on footwear and Lowa's have met and exceeded my expectations. 'nuff said.

Like them a lot

Great pair of hiking shoes. Fit is just a touch narrow for those of us with the wide feet, but probably fits great in a normal foot. Seems quite durable, haven't had any breakdown issues with the shoe. Keeps your feet dry too, which makes it a great everyday winter shoe.

Lowa Tempest

I own the previous version of the Lowa Tempest and thought they were the most comfortable all around hiking shoe. Lowa improved the shoe by modifying the top eyelets with hooks. The sole is a bit slick on dusty polished rocky trails, but thats normal. The shoe is still comfortable and light, but after having it for three months with minimum wear, there's a problem with the internal plastic heel cup causing pain and I have to send the shoes back to Lowa. I'm glad I haven't thrown my old ones out.
