LEKI Devine Antishock Trekking Poles - 1 Pair - Women's

Extensions on the bottoms of the grips of the Leki Women's Devine Antishock Trekking Poles help you grip and pole-plant on steep terrain and in wet conditions, while the locking antishock system won't rob power on uphill parts of your hike. Turn the antishock off when you're hiking uphill—shock absorbers ease strain on your shoulders and arms when you're hiking downhill, but the AS system works against you on the way up. Compared to men's or unisex poles, the Devine Poles have smaller, narrower grips, and are shorter, so your grip isn't strained and you're not lugging around excess weight in length. Slight bends in the upper shaft sections of the Devine Trekking Poles mean your wrists maintain natural, relaxed positions.

Bottom Line: Turn the shock absorber off and grip the extended handles on steep uphill sections. Then turn the antishock on for a strain-reduced descent.
