Lib Technologies 1986 Snow Mullet BTX Snowboard

The Lib Tech 1986 Snow Mullet BTX Snowboard combines the best shapes of the '80s with the newest design features of today. You get a tapered directional cut with a setback stance, reverse-camber Banana Technology, and Magne-Traction edges. Think old school powder board thrown in a blend with a new-school park stick that tastes like a banana-flavored smoothie of all-mountain freestyle goodness. This Lib Tech board also comes with a Morning Wood core for the stiff feel you love when you're charging hard.

Bottom Line: Old meets new.

Great Board

I am 6'2, 225 lbs and I demoed last years model of the Mullet 165. Although last years model did not have the Rocker it did have the Magne-Traction. The Board can stick to anything. The Magne-Traction could cut through all the groomers, float over deeper snow and it's torsional stiffness combined with how light this board is was fantastic. You could pop over anything and easily pull the board around without worrying about the it over twisting or casing. Great All-Mountain board. I would recommend it to anyone who want one board that you can take in the park and still rip the rest of the mountain.

Got a Wig Out 158 for playing about on last season. Would like to add a powder board to the quiver. Looking at Trice pointy 161 or the Mullet would these ride all mountain alright? Wig out is a bit lively for all day cruising.

More questions for you...
Did you want to be riding directional? The Snow Mullet is setback 1.5''
Did you want to ride more centered? The T-Rice is able to ride powder with a twin stance and a wider stance at that.

I ripped this board in two feet of POW last weekend up here in AK.... I'm 5'10 226 ( yes a fat ass) and im rocking a 160 that floats like no ones business... the set back stance is sweet... wouldnt recomend it if you love riding switch (due to the taper design) but the rocker tech helps.. cant wait for thr resort to open so i can see how it handles on the groomers... im sure the magne traction will do its job!

Def go longer, esp for a powder stick.. how much depends on where and how you ride.

A 72 is a bit long for riding the trees. It rips through deep powder thou - make you feel like superman.

I'm not sure if that applies for the BTX boards... I think with BTX boards you can ride 3cm shorter than you typically do/would.
