Lafuma Active 30 Backpack - 1900cu in

The 3D mesh back panel on the Lafuma Active 30 Backpack lets air circulate so you don't get soaked in sweat as you bound along the trail. With a spacious main compartment and several pockets, this backpack holds your extra layers, first aid kit, snacks, GPS, hydration bladder (not included). Lafuma's Motion Control System lets you tighten down your load so it doesn't wobble, even if your pack's not full.

Bottom Line: The Lafuma Active Backpack—made for fast-moving adventures.

Good running pack

By:

I was looking for a pack that would stay on still when running, and the MCS (Motion Control System) supplies an extra set of straps in the middle so when it is pulled, it would cinch the outer edges of the load towards your back. It is not 100% perfect, but better than anything I've seen so far. It's light, more room than I need. One issue goes back to overabundance of space. The 1900 cubic in. is a lot of space, but it is really suited for almost lightweight materials. Anything heavier, and the straps, which are as wide as a standard school pack, will dig into your shoulders. I've had moments where my shoulders would be a bit sore. But I was also carrying a lot of water (In addition to the Platypus). Over all, I love this bag and would recommend anyone for it who would like to run a pack (trail runners, hikers, run/commuters).

How weatherproof is this pack? It doesn't come with a rain-fly: does that mean it's waterproof as is?
Thanks,
Rox

The polyamide is relatively waterproof with a drizzle or light rain, but I wouldn't expect it to hold up for much.

You can either buy a rain cover for the pack, or look at Vaude's packs. They're fantastic products, and most of them have a rain fly in the bottom pouch.
