Lafuma Warm 'n Light 800 Sleeping Bag: 30 Degree Down - Women's

With ladies-specific design features in the core and feet, the Lafuma Warm 'n Light 800 30-Degree Women's Down Sleeping Bag assures a warm, comfortable sleep. Lafuma distributes the 600+ fill down to target extra-cold spots like the core and feet, and increases room in the knees to allow semi-curled sleeping, so shivering in your tent is a thing of the past. The Warm 'n Light 800 also features a water-repellent 40D nylon shell to keep the warm goose down dry, and with a travel weight under two pounds, you'll hardly notice this sleeping bag in your pack.

Bottom Line: The Lafuma Warm 'n Light 800 Sleeping Bag puts more insulation where we need it.

kept me warm

By:
September 3, 2008

I wore lightweight wool tights and a synthetic top to bed, low of 35 or so in the mountains, pulled the hood as tightly as I could - and I got too warm. Loosened it a bit and was fine. However, this left-zip bag (my boyfriend has a 1000g Lafuma synthetic right-zip) had the zipper at the bottom instead of the top, so we couldn't zip up together. This was very disappointing, and I suppose I'll have to pay someone to fix it.

Not 30 degrees!

By:

The sleeping bag was surprisingly thin when it arrived and I thought that it just lost a bit of its loft during delivery. However, I tested it out in CA at the end of May (10,000 feet) and I freezing throughout the night. I don't think the temp went below 40. Definitely not warm enough--I will be saving this sleeping bag for warm summer nights only.

Great Sleeping Bag

I was very happy with this sleeping bag, it's light, compact (it fit side by side in the bottom of my pack with my pillow!) It kept me warm and was reasonably priced. I couldn't have asked for a better product.

Great sleeping bag for a great price

By:

I bought this bag after reading the Backpacker Gear Guide issue. I have to agree with the review that this sleeping bag is pretty lightweight without the hefty price tag. It was very comfortable for our overnighters on the Pacific Coast Trail and the Columbia River Gorge. I would say that it is a bit long, but that is probably a good thing for a taller woman. Great bag!
