Lafuma Warm'n Light 800 Sleeping Bag: 30 Degree Down

The Lafuma Warm'n Light 800 Sleeping Bag is the lightweight, super-compact 30-degree-rated companion you want when you're traveling in cool to mild temperatures. Anything lighter and you're in full summer territory, anything heavier and you'll be sweating both in your tent and on the uphill due to added bulk. The wispy Tactel lining feels great against your skin, while the light ripstop shell repels water and resists abrasion without weighing you down when compressed. A small accessory pocket hides an alarm or keychain light for midnight nature calls.

Bottom Line: Don't carry more bag than you need—bring the Lafuma Warm'n Light 800.

Inexpensive, but not worth it.

On the plus side, this bag is (relatively) inexpensive, light, and very packable. One the minus side, the 30 degree rating is a extremely optimistic; I think I'd be comfortable down to about 50 degrees in this bag. Holding the bag up to the light reveals that the down insulation is not very evenly distributed. The cut of the bag is slim and the foot box is too small for my tastes. I'll be shopping for a better 3-season backpacking bag.
