KEEN Summit County Winter Boot - Men's
Whether you’re strolling through downtown Breckenridge or hoofing it to the train in a whiteout, the KEEN Men’s Summit County Winter Boot blocks the cold, wet weather with a KEEN.DRY waterproof breathable membrane and toasty warm KEEN.WARM insulation. KEEN also added more insulation in the toe area to keep your sensitive digits comfortable. The Dual Climate rubber outsole solidifies in cold weather to give you a better grip on slick sidewalks and icy driveways, and the molded rubber Shellback heel support gives you a rigid platform for snowshoeing or winter hiking.
Bottom Line: Spare your feet from harsh winter weather.

Awfully Snazzy Snow Boots

I've found these boots to be extremely warm, especially in the toes, and very nicely supportive in the ankle region. So far I've used them for snowshoeing, winter camping and regular wandering around in the snow. My only complaint has been that when ascending my feet may get a little too warm, but that isn't really a con at all. On descents and just standing around that extra bit of insulation in the toes is great.
Great winter boot

I have been hiking/snowshoeing in these all winter long and I love them. I spend most of my time hiking around the salmon river area on STEEP, rocky slopes and the boots have held up well to the abuse I give them and they are great for snowshoeing as well. I have wide, sensitive feet and these have been a dream.

These all just come in a regular standard fit. So it would be a traditional mid fitting shoe.

These boots are phenomenal in all ways and perfect for deep powder activity. Your feet breathe in them and there is perfect watertight construction. Couldn't be better..
Has anyone tried these snowshoeing? Seems like they would be
Has anyone tried these snowshoeing? Seems like they would be pretty good for that, but would love to hear first hand experience.

I tried them a couple of times. They were really great with the exception of warmth. My feet tend to run very cold and that was also the case with these boots. Aside from that they were great!I use them in Northern Vermont, good for treking across a field, but when I try to climb Mt. Mansfield, they are not up to the subzero cold and double digit negative wind chill.

I have not really ever worn high boots before, and once you get used to them rubbing on your shins (loosen the laces and problem sovled) they work very well. Keeping my feets warm and dry. There has been a lot of ice out there lately, living in alaska you get that, and the traction is great. They are excellent boots.
Is this a boot suitable for winter camping. Does it take crampons?
Is this a boot suitable for winter camping. Does it take crampons? how do you size it? Terry

These are good for winter camping if your feet don't run cold. Mine do so I couldn't use them. You can use non-neumatic crampons with them. They run true to size but you may upsize .5 for thicker socks.Hope that helps.

Warm and comfortable! I enjoyed them as soon as I put them on. Today we had snow and less slip than usual during the shoveling ordeal. I keep the laces loose so they slip on and tighten them up when required. Great boot!
Great warm boots

Great boots. They are very warm and comfortable. I went on a 16 mile hike when it was 10 degree F, keep my feet very warm. Also very water proof.
As comfy as you can get

I work as a land surveyor so I was looking for winter boots that will keep me warm for a whole day. I tried those boots in every situation (snowshoeing, powder, slush...) and they passed the test especialy keeping my toes warm. Keen dry works even better then I thought!

I have worn these boots at - 29 and had warm feet/ but not for standing around you need to be moving
used for snowshoeing and worked great
very comfortable fit and good suport. The one problem I had is the sole started to come unglued after 1 month of use. So I am waiting for another pair, but I did want another pair as these are a great boot for active winter fun. I would give them 5 star but not sure how durable the second pair will be

I ordered these for my husband for x-mas & just got them exchanged for his correct size--my mistake! He's told me that they are very warm on his feet & not overly heavy. The only complaint i've heard is that they go up his shins a little & hurt a little when he leans forward. It could be that he's not used to having boots that go that far up his leg. Overall though, a great buy & definately worth the price!
