KEEN Voyageur Hiking Shoe - Women's
Hiking with the Keen Women's Voyageur Hiking Shoes on is like opening the windows and letting cool, fresh air into your stuffy apartment. Unlike many supportive hiking shoes that feel hot and stifling on summer days, the Voyageur Shoes' mesh linings provide breathability for your feet. The ESS shanks on these Keens provide torsional stability as you breeze down the trail, and aggressive 4mm lugs grip rough terrain.
Bottom Line: Open the windows for your feet.

Simply put, these shoes are soo comfortable and are great for light hiking. If you're looking for a light hiking shoe for less money, these are definitely the shoes for you.

My wife has the Keen Winterports and she's looking for a summer shoe in the same style. Does anyone know how these would compare?

I l-o-v-e this shoe. The Vouageur offers amazing fit and support, even for my widish feet. I have a pair for the trails and another for the gym, and I couldn't be happier.
The break-in time is minimal, but I wouldn't recommend going full speed ahead on your first day wearing these (I did...ouch).
The shoes also breathe well, and are not as heavy as many hiking shoes can be.

I have tried many Keen styles and though I normally wear an 8 1/2 wide the Keens 8 1/2 are "sometimes" a bit short in the toe box but a 9 slips at the heel. So depending on the style I find I need an 8 1/2 and sometimes a 9. I have not tried the Voyageur on. Would you say they are true to size or should they be sized up?

My very 1st pair of KEEN's...Perfectly comfortable right out of the box - no 'breaking in' was necessary. So very comfortable! Just right size for my medium width foot & true to size. Won't be my last pair of KEEN's. Also, this vendor, BACKCOUNTRY, was quick & efficient with delivery. Thanks for a pleasant shopping experience!
Uhmm....no. The mesh on the side is for venting and air flow. These are sold as a breathable hiking shoe, not a waterproof one.

These are by far the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned. Right out of the box they felt broken in. There is great arch support and is very roomy in the toe area. I love the looks of them...good for just running around town too. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a light hiking shoe.

This is a great hiking shoe. I had to order a .5 size larger. The heel was a little loose. I was able to put inserts in and they were fine. A solid fit with great cushion.

My foot runs narrow & I was wondering about the width on these shoes. Anyone with a narrow foot tried them on?

I do not usually have too narrow a heel, but it happens on occasion. The heel was definitely wide for me.

I tried the Keen Targhee II boots first, and they didn't fit my feet well, but these Voyageurs fit like a dream! I took them on their first true trail hike yesterday, and never noticed my feet all day (usually my feet ache a bit after 5-6 miles of hiking).
They aren't 100% waterproof, due to the venting on the sides, but kept my feet dry even though I had to splash through a number of muddy portions of trail, and even manage a few very shallow dips in water as I made my way across a number of small streams. When I intentionally stuck my foot into several inches of water to rinse boggy mud off the top of my boot, however, a little water seeped inside. I'd say they are "waterproof enough" for the nice tradeoff with keeping my feet much cooler than they'd be in most 100% waterproof boots.

i don't own a pair, yet... but i've tried them on in the store, and my opinion is, they have the best arch support of any shoes i've ever tried on! they're really comfortable!

Great comfortable shoe. First time I wore them I did 3 miles on treadmill to break in, never got a blister, were comfy from the start.
