KEEN Vail Winter Boot - Women's

Wear Keens year round in the Vail Winter Women's Boot with water proof leather and nylon uppers for protection against harsh winter conditions. The Vail's Event waterproof barriers work to keep water out while still allowing your foot to breath. The boot's nylon lining has wicking capabilities pulling sweat away from your skin keeping you dry. The Primaloft insulation lets toes stay toasty while you run errands or take care of outdoor chores on cold days. EVA super soft midsoles ensure long lasting comfort all day. The Vail's soles use durable and nonmarking dual climate rubber that actually reacts to different temperatures to provide optimal traction on any surface.

Bottom Line: Now you can wear Keens in the sun or snow with the Vail Women's Winter Boot.

Great all around boot

Ideally I fit into a size that doesn't exist. The size 8.5 packed out a tad so to make me heel stay in place best when snowshoeing (so I don't get a hot spot) I wear thicker socks. The size 8 is too tight. I probably should wear a shoe with a little bit more specific lacing adjustments then this for snowshoeing though. But these boots are very warm and very easy to put on. I love them. Someone on here said they have good traction on ice, but I think that it could be improved. If you walk very slowly on ice they are great, but could use a little bit more gripping on the ice. Can be used on light snowshoeing and light hiking adventures, but if anything more extreme- I would use footwear that has a less loose/comfy fit, and a more dialed in lacing setup.

just waiting for the snow....

By:

Can't wait to try these out on my -40 winter bike rides... Little big around the shins but i guess all the more room to be tucking the thermals into and of course will keep the bottom of your trousers out of the snow. I got the half size up as recommended - and maybe didn't need to as i have narrow elfen feet apparently. Will stick with them though to allow for extra sock-age. Have you ever noticed how cute shoes look in the shop when size 5/6 are displayed?....trying on a size 10 usually makes me want to perform foot surgery - so i say good job Keen - even in a size 10 i don't look like i am ready for my first moon landing.

Just got my boots and they fit perfectly! I'm surprised by how light they are, and they have enough room for thick socks too. They're cute and I can't wait to try them out in the snow.

If you plan on walking through snow, sure, because they're snow boots. If not, I'd go for something more slipper-inspired like "snow clogs" or UGG boots.

Wish they were made for real people

The package arrived none to soon, I was waiting since the minute I confirmed the purchase. The Vail Keen boots that I ordered were going to be my savior for the rest of the winter, here in Alaska. They finally arrived.....YEAH!!! They are very stylish and slipping my foot into them (or any Keen footwear for that matter) was like heaven on my soles!! I went to zip the side so that I could walk around and show them off at work. To my suprise the zipper only made it up an inch. The part of the boot that goes above the ankle up the calf was so small, I couldn't even get the two sides to touch one another, let alone zip. This was a HUGE disappointment, and I wish that Keen made boots for real people.

Keen Vail boots

Wore these boots snow hiking and snowmobiling. Warm and comfortable. I had to order a 1/2 size UP. They are not as stiff in the shins as many other boots I tried on - and I tried on a lot! Highly recommended.

great Keen quality

fit like a typical snow boot-kinda loose around the upper ankle unless you wear super thick socks. Nice grip on ice/snow. Wish they designed a nicer pull on the side zipper. Its a bit small to grab on to with gloves or frozen hands! But still a fantastic boot. I am happy with them.
