KEEN Zerraport Sandal - Men's

Want to take your sandals out on the trail but afraid they can't stand up to the rocks, uneven terrain, and dirt? Slip on the Keen Zerraport Sandal and take on any trail. Keen took a sandal design and gave it a burly trail hiking sole so you get the cooling benefits of a sandal and the support of a hiker. A compression molded EVA midsole cushions your foot on that uneven terrain, and the dual adjust webbing support system gives you a custom fit and keeps your foot where it should be. Keen gave the Zerraport Sandals multi-directional outsole lugs with razor siping, which grabs slippery river rocks and rocky trails alike.

better ventilation = worse durability

I love my Newport keens so I bought this for my boyfriend about 6 months ago, because he gets hot sweaty feet the Zerraports seemed ideal because of the "openness" of the design. They were great, until the slit of the rubber/plastic part which holds the strap to the shoe sole has ripped. Granted he wore these shoes everyday but I've worn my Newports every few days for the last few years and they are still going great. Will be buying him a pair of Venices as a replacement.

The Keen Zerraport might be the best investment I have made for summer shoes in several years. It is a light weight hiking shoe/water shoe/sandal. It is very versatile. It dries very quickly for when hiking through water or any sort of rafting or kayaking. It holds fairly well on slick wet rock. I have only had one pair of shoes hold better and they were a felt lined sole.Can be worn as a backless sandal because the back strap can be removed when using these as a more casual shoe.
