KEEN Targhee Hiking Shoe - Kids'

The Targhee has been my now 7 year old daughter's shoe of choice since she was 3 years old. They go everywhere, do everything, and last forever. They're so easy to put on and then they stay on. They're also very well made. She wears them on the playground, riding her bike, hiking, backpacking, and everywhere in between. They even look cute with the right style of skirt. You can't go wrong with these shoes! They do run a bit small though, so order at least one size up. The fit is especially wonderful if your child has wide toes and a narrow heel.

My 11 year old went on his first backpacking trip - a 7.5 mile hike on the Appalachian Trail. It rained hard, and although his feet got wet, he said they were still comfortable. He wouldn't wear them around to break them in prior to the hike but they didn't give him blisters or hurt his feet at all. I will definitely buy again.

This is my son's third pair of Keen Targhee shoes. The best made shoe for a little boy who plays hard. The shoe will last longer that he will fit in them, but certainly will last the whole school year. Typically by summer he hits a growth spurt and we pass them down, as the wear is minimal. Great price for a shoe that lasts the whole year! Highly, highly recommend.

This is a great pair of all round shoes. My little boy loves them both in the hills and at school. They're super beefy so it looks like the wear issue is going to be non-existent!!!

My son wears out shoes quickly but loves comfort. These shoes are holding up great, are easy on/off and he loves to wear them.

These things are amazing! I bought my 10 year old son a pair of these last September after he ripped through yet another pair of shoes within just 1 month. I have never been happier with the quality of anything I have bought for my kids! He is now on his second pair - not because he wore them out, but because he actually outgrew them! This is the first time he has ever outgrown a shoe before destroying them (other than dress shoes). He can wear them for everything - school, gym, hiking in the mountains, church. They have been drenched, covered in mud and put through just about anything you can think of and still look new and don't smell (a first too). I just spray them off in the sink and let them air-dry overnight. They keep his feet dry in snow and rain, but are breathable enough that his sweaty feet don't die in them. I was so happy with them that I bought the girly colors for my 9 year old daughter and the toddler version for my 20 month old. As long as Keen makes these, I'll be buying them as my kids' main shoes.

This is the second pair of Targhee Hiking shoes that my son has had. He wore his last pair EVERYWHERE! They are fast putting on (why would a seven-year-old mess with laces if he didn't have to?), and his school lets him wear them for gym class. They wear like iron, and still look acceptable if he needs to "dress it up" in a pair of khakis.
