KEEN Venice H2 Sandal - Women's
The fast-drying, bacteria-free KEEN Women's Venice H2 Sandals are ideal for extended trips on the river or easy hiking where your feet are sure to get soaked. Not only do these closed-toe sandals offer protection that regular sandals can't match, but they also provide easy access and a quick, secure fit with a drawcord lace design. You'll appreciate the extra protection of the Venice H2 sandals when you're jamming your foot under a thwart on a rafting trip, or when the trail turned out to be a little more rugged than you expected. Whatever the case, the polyester uppers on these KEEN sandals are sure to be bone dry by the time you're back in the car.
Bottom Line: The KEEN Women's Venice H2s have all the advantages of your favorite flip flops without any of the drawbacks.

I bought the Venice H2 sandal for my wife for Christmas. I then bought myself a pair later, which she actually liked better. We returned the Venice H2 sandal and reordered the Newport H2 in Kiwi/Madder. She loves them!! I have a pair of Newport sandals and I wear them all the time. They are so comfortable you almost forget you have them on. They just mold to your feet. What a great sandal!!!

I originally ordered a pair of 9 1/2 shoes, but they were too small. The second time around, I tried a 10 1/2. Too large. Next time, I will order a size 10 and they will be just right.

Overall, these are good sandals & I am pleased with them.
Pros: Toe protection, easy to get on/off, good color, easy to wash off.
Cons: Run 1/2 size too small, wish there was more ventilation.
The biggest con I discovered while whitewater rafting. When you stick your foot underneath the cross bar of the boat to wedge yourself in, the little clippy thing on the sandal laces digs into your foot, leaving a bruise. Therefore, I would not recommend this style for rafters.

I first bought these sandals a half size bigger than I usually wear after reading others' recommendations and also after trying on the same shoes in other colors. I ended up sending back the larger carnelian/pumice sandals and getting my actual size, which fits perfectly. For some reason, this color seems to run true to size. They felt great from the moment I first put them on and have been fantastic shoes both for vacation activities and wearing at home. Love them!!

here is the review: you guys were very helpful and got my shoe to me quickly. I wanted an all around shoe that would function as an all day walking shoe in the city ( going to France) Because it is black I hope it can move into dinner as well. We will see. I recently tested it on a trip to NYC. Out of the box, no break in time, walked all day for 3 days, no pain, no blisters and that was without socks. Didn't use as a dinner shoe in NYC but hopeful for France. I usually take an 8 1/2 or 9 size shoe. I needed the 9 1/2 for length with the Venice. A little too wide but okay. Buy it.

I ordered my size, these are much too small. I never wear a shoe 1/2 size bigger. And, the moment I slipped these on, literally, my feet began to sweat. Return shipping charges don't seem fair in this case.

At first glance I was a bit unsure about the styling of these shoes. Looked a bit strange and unflattering. My husband made me try a pair on and WOW, they are by far the most comfy and no worries shoe I own. They are so light and almost feel like they are made of foam. The footbed is incredibly strong and provides the shock absorption of a high end tennis shoe while the upper gives enough support to feel secure enough to run and trek in comfort. They are not the most flattering shoe for a woman's foot but they make up for that in function.

In general these are great. They keep my toes protected while fishing (there are thousands of places to break a toe on the boat). They are also great for hopping out of the kayak and going for a short little walk through any sort of terrain. They are very comfortable and light and I was able to run in them w/ ease and comfort. I do have two complaints though. They don't dry out as fast as I would like (usually takes 1/2 hour or more even in intense heat for the inside to dry). They also are a pain if you get sand, rocks, shells, etc. in them. It tough to get stuff out of the shoe w/o totally removing them. All in all I like them and if you can handle spending this ammount on sandals they are nice.

These sandals were not my first pair of Keen Sandals. But, I really love the style. A little more dressy looking then my other ones. Also, I would recommend this site to anyone! Very prompt shipping and item was in perfect condition.

So far i've tried these sandals on a few short hikes, an overnight backpack trip through a gulch that requires walking in an average of 5 cm of water, and on a couple river trips.
For general hiking, i do NOT like them. Little rocks get in there and they can't get out because of the toe protection and I would have to stop and take them off all the time to remove the rocks (i've tried to work out a few methods to shake them out, but most of the time you need to stop to extract them). I had the same problem in the gulch hike, and ended up hiking barefoot most of the time in the water when the surface was mostly sand and small rocks, although for areas that required hiking around waterfalls on slickrock, i felt the traction was pretty good.
For rivers they are, of course, GREAT! Used them on the green river, and two portions of the payette river. We dumped our boat on one occasion and i was never fearful for my toes/feet and walking through the rocky river bed whenever we were launching, or stopping for lunch, or whatever, was never a problem, in fact you can move fast with more confidence (than in open toe sandals) in times when you need to get to shore in a hurry.
i'm rating them at 4 because i'd give them a 1 or 2 for hiking and a 5 for river use and i know they are mostly intended for river use, but they've been hyped up a lot for multi use on trails (make sure your trails are ultra smoooooth or paved and they might be fine).

I just love the look and feel of this sandal! I have the Newport H2 which I love and was afraid that this sandal would be too much the same. Not true! They are different enough and the colors are fabulous. They do run 1/2 size small so make sure you order 1/2 larger than normal size. Feet sweat a little less in these sandals because of the extra ventilation. Love the toe covers for extra protection and when I don't feel like showing my pretty toes. I have a flat foot and have a hard time finding sandals that provide good arch support but not too much that it is painful. These are the perfect answer and funky too! I also have a narrow heel and shoes often slip in the back and cause blisters. Not the case with these KEENS. They have a perfect back strap with just enough stretch that your foot doesn't slide around. I love that I can wear them in the rain and hose off after a treck through the mud. Last, I have a small ankle and thought these shoes might look clunky or too wide. I was impressed immediately when I put them on. Much more flattering than a sneaker! I have found KEEN and now there is no going back! They are different and make you feel a little more cool that you may already be!

these shoes did a fantastic job keeping my feet protected and dry on our trip last summer to the Minnesota boundary waters. we portaged our drybags and canoes through rocky creeks, steep climbs, etc, and my keens held up beautifully every step of the way. they were also fantastic for swimming in lakes with slippery rocky bottoms.

We're returning them because they run small but will be getting the bigger size. Very convenient sandal for summer. Good toe protection and still cool!

These are a great pair of sandals. I have used them for walking when on vacation, while in the ocean, and just for daily use. Many of my friends have commented on them and are very complimentary. I would highly recommend these sandals. They are pricey, but worth every penny!

These are extremely comfortable. Nice and wide (no squished toes). The foam footbed has good support but is also very cushiony under the heels. When my heel was sore, these were the only shoes that felt good, better than barefoot. My only reservation is that when it's really hot or humid, I find these a little sweaty because the footbed doesn't absorb moisture. On the other hand, you can just hose them off ....

I'm not used to wearing sandals. I am most comfortable in running shoes. For this summer I thought I'd try sandals. I'm glad I got these- they are so comfortable- I really like them. The one negative is that my feet get gritty/dirty but I guess that goes for any sandal. Size warning: they do run small. I wear 7 1/2 to 8 and I had to get 8 1/2 in these-- I've never worn that number in any shoe!

These Keen sandals are a terrific choice for active women -- both for wet/dry day hiking or long-distance walking. I had major foot surgery three months ago (lapidus procedure ... bunion-type reconstruction) and these sandals have been perfect. I have Keen boots so I knew they offer an ample toe box and great arch support. The inner neoprene lining is smooth and soft and the elastic cord can be adjusted easily for any tightness. The sole is a hiking boot quality (but is not "stealth rubber", so they will slip on wet rock). The only negative is that the open design lets in tiny pebbles -- but they easily slip on and off, so it's no big deal.
The tangerine color was true to the catalog. They're fun, comfortable and robust.

My Keens have been the best work shoe (for a preschool teacher) and outdoor shoe. Comfort and durability are key for me- they offer great support and dry quickly after being in the water.

I have wide feet, so Keens are wonderful. And the Venice H2 has wider spaces in between the straps, so cooling is indeed as advertised.

I ordered the lime green and want a pair in every other color! Incredibly comfortable, perfect for hiking through water. Only complaint - if I'm not walking through water, the bottoms of my feet tend to get a little sweaty. Otherwise, great.

I have to say I was a little disappointed in the comfort. I had read a lot of good reviews on these sandals, so I bought them with high expectations. They weren't awful, but they weren't as comfortable as I thought they would be.

I could not believe that it was possible to have it all. This shoe does it. It's stylish enough for regular daily activities (walking, jogging or running), yet rugged enough to handle any outdoor activities (hiking, swimming, kayaking, etc). If that isn’t enough, it's amazingly comfortable too. Simply put, I LOVE MY H2 SHOES!!!!! :~)

This sandal is the greatest thing to happen to my feet. They work great for mountain biking in hot weather, running, hiking. Planned on using them while hiking the Zion Narrow but the water temp demanded Neoprene socks that didn't quite fit with the sandal. This is my favorite shoe, like it much better than the Newport style.

I purchased this shoe specifically to hike the Dunn's River Falls in Jamaica. Except for the pebbles that got in the shoes, the shoes worked excellently. Slippage was at a minimum and damn! did my legs look good in them. If you have some rocky terrain you need to traverse and you want a little funky flava in your footwear, go with the Keen Venice sandal; cute in a funky kind of way and works fabulously. By the way, those pebbles got into everyone's sandals, so it was no fault of the design. Enjoy!

The Venice H2 Sandal protects my clumsy toes from the rocks while in the water, but the fuller coverage makes for a warmer shoe. The wide footbed is very comfortable, and the straps are easy to adjust. No blisters yet.

These sandals fit great and they are very comfortable. We even trail run in these sandals. I love the closed toe and the pull straps. These will be going with us on our trip to the Zion Narrows.
