Kelty Little Creek Junior Sleeping Bag: 30 Degree Thermolite HL-H4

The Kelty Little Creek Junior Sleeping Bag gets first-time campers stoked about sleeping under the stars. This synthetic bag sports all the features of an adult bag at a price month's allowance could manage. Kelty designed the Little Creek Junior Sleeping Bag for kids up to five feet. With extra insulation over the chest area, two-layer offset quilt construction for superior heat retention, and ground-level side seams for heat loss prevention, this bag feels as warm as bed back home. A full-length, extra thick draft tube down the zipper also locks out the night's nippy air. Forget a camp pillow? Reverse the fleece-lined stuff sack and fill it with clothes. The Little Creek's nylon liner makes laundering a breeze.

Bottom Line: Don't cut corners when it comes to your kid's bag—the Kelty Little Creek is a fully featured sleeping bag for small fries.

Great Bag

Great bag, I have a 5 yr old and 3 yr old. The 3 yr old gets lost in it and probably doesn't generate enough body heat to keep warm on the cold 40 degree nights, but its perfect for the 5 year old.

Killer little bag!

Our 5 year-old was so excited to get his very own sleeping bag! No more Spiderman...he's a big kid and now he has a REAL sleeping bag! Two things keep it from FIVE stars. There was no choice for a left-hand or right-hand zipper. The biggest problem is the included stuff sack is WAY too small. It took me 10 minutes to squeeze it in there. There's no way our son could do it himself.

My niece loves it

My niece is only 3 but she has recently started camping with her parents. I thought this would be a great way to get her stoked on camping. For her third birthday, she got a new sleeping bag. I am told that she won't allow my brother-in-law to put it in the stuff sack because she drags it everywhere. She pretends that she is camping in the living room and takes all of her naps in it. She didn't really give me much feedback about the down quality or other specifics but she really likes it. My brother-in-law plans on using it for backpacking later so I'll have to get back to you on the adult feedback.

Nice little sack . . .

Bought this for my 5 year old and he sleeps very warm and comfortably in it. The interior lining of the bag is nice and isn't too cold against his skin when he first gets in. All this according to him of course. The strap at the top, over the zipper, tends to fray the bag a bit, but is nice to keep it from unzipping in the middle of the night. I agree that the stuff sack is a bit tight, but I am the one usually packing up all the gear anyway. So not a real minus. And it is useful as a pillow. Even if my kid doesn't use it - I do.

My kids both use these bags and seem to enjoy sleeping in them. For the price the bag is really nice quality. The stuff sack is a little tight but thats why they call it a stuff sack.

Not bad, could be better.

This is basically a pretty good quality sleeping bag. I bought two, one for each of my daughters. The main drawback is that the stuffsack is not big enough. It took me about twice as long to roll up and put away one of these bags as to do my own. Then it is packed in so tight that it's extraordinarily difficult to get back out. Simply put, no child who will fit in this sleeping bag has any hope of being able to get it out or put it away himself. If you can live with this, it's a good product.
