Kelty No-Bug Net for Kid Carriers

The Kelty No-Bug Net for Kid Carriers attaches to your kid carrier to seal out creepy-crawlies. The No-Bug Net also offers protection from blowing debris and brush, so nothing interferes with your little ones' enjoyment of the outdoors atop their trusty steed (you). Note: Requires a Kelty FC Sun/Rain hood.

Bottom Line: Keep bugs off your li'l un.

Great Hood

By:

Since my child will no longer tolerate a stroller I use the backpack as my main means of taking her around - in urban settings as well as the great outdoors --- Purchased the Sun/Rain hood and it does a great job at keeping her protected --- on super sunny days I use a sarong to drape over the sun exposed side - but overall worth the money.

there is the UV protector mesh product as well as this no-bug...

there is the UV protector mesh product as well as this no-bug net for the Kelty KIDS carriers, but the material used is not listed. is it also the 600D poly / mesh fabric like this no-bug net? The size of the UV is shorter than the no-bug net. However nothing tells me if the no-bug net will also protect against UV! The product pictures look exactly the same, though - not good. So what is the fabric of the no-bug net and will it protect against UV rays the same as the UV net?

I checked out the specs for both of the nets, they are both made from 600D polyester & Nylon mesh, so there is no difference in the material. The bug net owever is longer 21x16x40in the UV net is only 21x16x40in, and the bug net carries a little more weight 13oz verses the uv net at 4oz. Seems to me they both do the same thing, but there is a little more weight and net included with the bug net. I would go for the bug net...seems like you kill two birds with one stone for only $10 more. Good luck hope it helps. (smile)
