Kelty Redwing Backpack - 2650-3100 cu in

Kelty considers their internal-framed 2650-3100cu in Redwing Backpack to be a pack worthy of day-and-a-half hiking trips. The Redwing is perfect for adventures where you need to haul more gear than your daypack accommodates, but don't necessarily need a full-on multi-day backpacking pack either. The Redwing is great for ski tours when you're packing bulkier outerwear, longer day hikes and even overnighters if you pack smartly. The Redwing's breathable, padded back panel and shoulder straps keep you cool and comfortable on the trail. Cram all of your gear into the Redwing's plethora of pockets to keep everything organized; then use the compression straps to snug the load against your back to limit side-to-side shifting on the trail.

Bottom Line: Give in to your spontaneous urge to skip the commute and hit the trail with the Kelty Redwing backpack.

Redwings Rule

By:

I have purchased Kelty Redwings through all of Kelty's iterations of design change. So, after flat wearing out several over the past twenty years, using them for work and play, I can't praise Kelty enough for developing a comfortable, versatile, practical, and stout pack. Plenty of room allows you to stuff more than enough gear. Mine has successfully carried 40 pounds of archeological survey equipment, food, water, foul weather clothing, etc. for hundreds of miles in the Chihuahuan desert. At the end of the day, my legs are tired but the pack rode all day like it was part of my body. Great pack - highly recommend it.

Does the Kelty Redwing Backpack (3100 cu in) meet airline carry-one...

Does the Kelty Redwing Backpack (3100 cu in) meet airline carry-one size restrictions?
Second question. My measured torso length is 19 – 20 in. Will the Kelty Redwing Backpack (3100 cu in) be an appropriate size.

Perfect Pack

By:

I bought this pack to use for long weekend trips. It is perfect and accommodated all of my gear/clothes/etc. I recently took it on a week long trip with my family and it worked great. There is space for a weeks worth of clothes plus toiletries etc. plus it's super easy to stay organized with all the pockets. I also really love the orange color and it stands out when you claim you baggage at the airport!

Awesome Pack

I first brought the Kelty 2650's Big Brother the 3100 and loved it. I used it extensively for skiing and with its removable waistband, for lazy hiking. I had to have the 2650 for those smaller trips and I have not been disappointed. The outside pockets are what I really like for quick access riding chair lifts and could not find another pack with those features. Get either of these packs -they're fantastic.

Great Backpack

By:

This is my first real backpack other than what we all used for college/high school. I live and use it in Manhattan, well, use it when I travel out of Manhattan on the weekends, and it's as comfortable in the crowded streets and transit hubs, as it is when I get up to the Adirondack mountains. I'm looking forward to using it this summer in Utah. It seems comfortable for a guy about my build; 5'11" and 175lbs. I think anyone a lot bigger or a lot smaller than me, weight or height would not want it.

AWSOME BACKPACK !!!!!!!

By:

I just recently got the KELTY Redwing 2650 and I freaking love it.... it has so much storage room for all the things I need carry. Just last week I put my 2 year old sister and 7 month old little brother in the pack and went for a 5 mile hike. They were kicking and screaming and causing a commotion for about the first half a mile or so but after that, things settled down and I could hardly tell I was carrying anything at all. I must say the good people at KELTY have done it again. This is my second KELTY backpack. The first one I had, I put the neighbor's cat in it and two whole weeks later it still hadn't got out.... talk about durable.... I would highly recommend this backpack..

Kelty Redwing

superfast delivery and excellent service from this site. The Kelty 3100 is an extremely well made backpack at a reasonable cost. I am 6'1'' and the 3100 fits my back very comfortably. I was able to pack 2 days worth of fall outerwear and still have room to spare. The zippers are rugged and movement is smooth. The pockets provide room to store small items. Overall I am very satisfied with the Kelty 3100

Great pack

By:

I recently took this pack with me to the Wichita Mountains in Southwest Oklahoma. The pack performed flawlessly on a 10 mile hike through all types of landscapes, anywhere from scrambling up granite to walking through prairies. Carrying about about 15 pounds on my back for 4 hours was a breeze, and I did not experience any discomfort at all. The hip belt provides ample support, and the compression straps virtually eliminated any load shifting. I had more than enough room for all of my gear that I took with me, including about 4 liters of water, fleece, rain jacket, and food. I would highly recommend this pack to anybody looking for a very versatile daypack.

Everything you want in a pack

I use this bag for everything whether its biking, hiking, camping, mountain climbing or simply walking around town. If you plan on venturing out for a couple days or more, this is a great pack to have. There is enough room inside to fit pretty much anything you want to hall. Plenty of comfort in the straps, if fitted correctly to you, this bag will not bounce around or sway no matter what you do in it. This bag hasn't let me down yet, and wont ever. I love this pack so much, i went and bought my girlfriend the female version of the Redwing. She took hers to Australia and told me it was the best pack she has ever used. I Highly recommend this pack, A+
