Kelty Quartz 4 Tent 4-Person 4-Season

The Kelty Quartz 4 is a simple, lightweight tent for all seasons. Configured with two doors and two vestibules, the floorplan maximizes the available living space. Two DAC pressfit poles slide into vaulted pole sleeves and once engaged a patented FlyBoy anchoring system prevents stretching or movement, even in high winds. The vented ripstop rainfly has a clear window so you can check out the weather without opening up (unless, of course, its iced over or you're snowed under). Versatile, the fly can be set up alone or with a footprint [KEL0301] for an ultralight shelter. Other features include closable mesh panels and taped seams to keep out the elements, internal storage pockets and gear loft loops to help you keep organized, noiseless zipper pulls and an easy buckle tent/fly connection.

Bottom Line: A safe haven in the nastiest of conditions.

Ditto great tent but not a 4 person tent

I would have to agree that it is definately not a four person tent. I find it very adequate for two people plus we put our dog on one of the ends. It was nice having an entrance on both sides, something I have never had. We are not sure however how to tighten up the rain fly on the ends so it doesn't flap. We have only used it once at the end of the season so I'm sure we will figure it out in time.

Great tent but not a 4 man

I've owned this tent for a few years. It's not a 4 person tent. I would recommend this for 3 with gear in the vestibule or 2 with gear in the tent. You might be able to fit a 4th person if they are less than 4ft tall. The sleeved pole design can become frustrating at times. Otherwise this tent is bomb proof. It never leaked even with a river of water streaming under the tent. The vestibules size is very generous.

Great Value

There aren't too many 4 person backpacking tents out there, and even fewer 4-season tents for under this price, but this is one of them. Fits four, but the person sleeping perpendicular should be on the shorter size. This tent has a nice rain fly, and two vestibles. The vestibles are large enough that we were able to put packs in one, and shoes in the other.
