K2 Silencer Alpine Ski

Stomp that Under flip on the K2 Silencer Alpine Ski and your competition will have nothing more to say. This K2 park and pipe ski is most at home in the air, but can still rip up the entire mountain. This super low-profile , freestyle ski prides itself as the brother of the K2 Public Enemy. But as is true with all siblings, the Silencer Alpine Ski finds a few ways to be different. The slightly narrower footprint and cap construction design make the Silencer more forgiving without compromising the Enemy's dominant all-mountain control. Using K2's tri-axial braiding technology, interlocking strands of fiberglass are spun around the wood core for pop and stability, so you can go huge and stick the landings. *Available for US shipment only.

Bottom Line: Shhhhhh, here comes the killer K2 Silencer Alpine Ski.

i had the exact same dilema you want an all mountain ski but your in a situation wher you mostly ride park. i got the k2 extreme and it worked great they are absolutely amazing in trees groomers pow but shred great in the park they are a perfect jumping skis and with an 85 waist they have good balance on rails

Line anthems or invaders.
IMHO anthems are better. a little stiffer than the invaders and the extra width kills it on rails and bigger hits.

I don't know a lot about the Pique, but I have ridden the other 2 and for versatility, I would suggest the MSP. The wider waist makes variable snow easier to handle, and bigger hits easier to stomp. The Silencer is good too, but not so much if there is any fresh on the ground or if you want to take it other places.

Im stuck between k2 silencers Rossi s2 jago and the armada el rey. im on a fairly tight budget needing enough money for a decent set of bindings. im fairly light but not feather weight and i keep reading all these reviews that push me to and from each of these but i prefere them unless you reccomend another price point twin tip all-mountain ski. im into the park a quarter of the day depending on conditions and rippin on blacks and some blues PLEASE HELP BY ANSWERING!

For price point, you can't go wrong with Line Invaders. There isn't really a better park ski. I would stay away from the Silencer and the El Rey, they are both pricepoint, and show it. Also, check out the Dynastar Trouble Makers. In my opinion, they are one of the most versatile twin tips ever made.
You really can't go wrong with Troublemakers.

Ok ski...Not durable though

good all mountain twin tip but not that durable. i have the 08 and have only riden them around 10 times and they are completly scracted all over. pretty good all mountain and ok in the park. if you are looking for an all park ski i would recomend the invader, same price but rips way better in the park. the silencers rips on groomers and is ok in powder anything less than a foot. great ski to get you in the freestyle world of skiing.

im looking to get skis that can rip on the whole mountain but

im looking to get skis that can rip on the whole mountain but still preform well in park, im looking at the K2 silencers, K2 disorderly, or line athems, what do you recommend?

Both the K2 skis are really good in the park, and can rip the whole mountain, but I am going to have to say the Line Anthems, just for the wide waist for more float, and the stiff flex for taking big booters. If you like K2 though, check the Extreme, of the Kung Fujas. The KF is a sweet ski, that will literally handle anything.

Well...

These skis are great for the money really responsive in the trees. These are great for beginner park skiers. Super light got them mounted up with marker griffons. Only complaint is these are not durable. Theyll take a few rocks to it and scratch not chip. When you accidently cross your tips on landings they sometimes get caught on the rivets and you wreck. Overall awesome ski very responsive light perfect for the aspiring park skier.

Pretty solid, especially center mounted, obviously. Not the best, but for the price, can't really be beat.

Ehhhhh...

If you want to do a little bit of everything these skis are great. If you are a park hound that prefers a center mounted ski you will need to get a stiffer ski. If you center mount them they get a little chattery at higher speeds.

Im looking to get some twin-tips, I was just wondering when skis

Im looking to get some twin-tips, I was just wondering when skis are called "true twin tips" or just "twin tips," is there a difference?

A true twin tip has a symmetrical tip and tail. The K2 Disorderly is a "true twin tip" ski.
