K2 Jibpan Snowboard

The Jibpan Snowboard completes K2's line of freestyle snowboards. This versatile board is as comfortable on backcountry booters as it is buttering boxes in the park. As you point the Jibpan toward a massive hit, K2's Harshmellow technology cuts down on chatter for a smooth ride, and a 4000 sintered base gives you speed to clear the gap. Ride away cleanly and spin off everything on your way to the terrain park—the Jibpan's Hyper Progressive sidecut, carbon torsion forks, and carbon inlays provide quick response, powerful pop, and a low swing weight. K2's Jib Tip tech integrates a long effective edge with a short nose and tail into this board so you can drop down 5cm in board length and not lose stability. The Jibpan graphic is a K2 and Mishka NYC Collaboration.

Bottom Line: The Jibpan is a dish best served ice cold.

great for those days

By:

I got last years board, mainly cause our snowboard shop didnt have any other boards that would work for me(i live in Alaska)...its a great board for those days when all you want to do is hike 1/4 of the way up some mt near Girdwood and build a big jump and just hit it time after time...its a little to stiff for some hardcore tree runs though,so beware of that...but you sure can pick up speed with it

I am looking for this board, but I am not sure it will be yhe...

I am looking for this board, but I am not sure it will be yhe right one, I am intermediate snowboarder i mesure 1'9" and weight about 145, I usually do some park, not much rail, but planning on doing some, my size boot is 9 . I am snowboarding in Quebec region, so not much powder.

If you are looking at picking up a rail and jibbing board, then this is a sick choice. If you are looking for more of an all around freestyle board, go with the K2 Darkstar.
The Darkstar is going to give you enough flex to crush rails and boxes, but it still has enough flex to take down some tree runs or high speed runs. Check the Darkstar out.

BEWARE...reviews by 'hater' Sheldon

By:
October 7, 2008

i am sure ya'll are intelligent enough to take 'SheldonTEF' comments as per there value. about every review he/she has written, especially about K2 product, says the exact same thing? I bet he is stoked on his Rome Crail, that the top sheet just delamed on right out of plastic. sweet bro!!! i will not stoop to his level beyond that.... regarding this review, it is my opinion that the JibPan was just way too high performance for him...if he even rode it. relative to a Rome deck, way more carbon/kevlar/ICG/honeycomb, hence the higher price bro. the name of this board can be misleading. it is not a slow speed buttering machine; it is a super tech/evolved super park/pipe machine, for very advanced riders doing huuuge freestyle manuevers. nuff said....

China Junk.

By:

I hated this board last year, it costs way to much for a pos made in China. Where are the savings K2? Why do your boards cost more than boards like Rome that are made in quality factories in Austria?

like but not love

By:
July 18, 2008

I liked this board but didn't love it. Nice pop and edge hold but it felt dead to me. Maybe it was me but the board felt slugish on the mt hood snow. For the price I expected more from this board. Come on K2 step up. I liked the Burton Fix, Nitro T2 and Capita Indoor much more than this deck.

jibpanstick

This board has changed the way I ride. It is a high-speed jibbin', jumpin', friendly, non-hookin', quick-turnin', butter-spreadin', ollie-poppin', edge-holdin', super-stick. If you ride the mountain like rats ride the park, THIS IS THE STICK FOR YOU, and YOU, and YOU!!!

SICK! This board is sick. If you don't ride it you will be sick. When your friends see you ride they will be sick. So...

Sick stick

This is a sweet park deck. Though a little stiff for rails, it still works great. The board is very responsive, and fast. I have yet to take it into a pipe because no resorts around me have one up yet but Im sure it will work awesome.
