K2 Hell Bent Alpine Ski

You ever wonder how guys like Seth Morrison and Andy Mahre land switch in powder like it was hardpack? Well, they're sick skiers, and they have a huge secret weapon—the K2 Hell Bent Alpine Ski. A rockered design (the tip and tail bend up, like a surfboard) and monstrous 122mm waist make the Hell Bent float like a cork in the powder, so you can take all your park skills to natural terrain even on the deepest of powder days. A relatively large amount of sidecut for a big ski lends you the versatility to get back to the lift without looking like a fool. From outrunning your slough on an Alaskan spine, to landing a Misty 7 off a wind lip, the Hell Bent is the new tool for taking freestyle to big mountain terrain. *Available for US shipment only.

Bottom Line: When hell freezes over, the K2 Hell Bent will nab the first descent—switch.

Go Huck!

Remember being a kid and how much fun it was to jump on your bed? Well that's the feeling you get on the Hellbents. Every landing is stable and smooth. Stomp it every time. Of course, with the reverse camber it can throw you over the handlebars on flat landings. Other than that, this will be the most fun you can have hucking, and your knees will thank you. So buy a pair and go huck yourself!

K2 doesn't list a weight for these, but suffice it to say with a wood core and 122 underfoot they're pretty beefy, heavy skis in the longer lengths. If you're concerned about ski weight, look elsewhere.

Best Ski Ever.......

These are the best skis I have ever been on, i dunno if they are the ski you want if your mountain doesn't get 400+ inches a year, but they are great on every type of snow ever, except for boilerplate traverses at alta, which happens about 3 times a year, the only problem with these skis is that you will have to explain how sick they are to everyone that sees your boards, get used to it, and have a common response for all questions!

The three mount points are centered, traditional, and "suggested" in between them...Pep Fujas mounts his at plus 7 to land switch in powder. If you don't ski switch anywhere from plus 2 to plus 5 would probably work. Go to a boot balancer if you can find one.

AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I bought these skis expecting a pow only ski. but when they cam i mounted my bindings and headed up to the mountain on probably the worst day of the season. I was SOO surprised. These skis just tear it up on the groomers, thrash through the pow, and kill it in the park. These could definitely be an all mountain ski for me. The only thing that these aren't to great on is choppy icy moguly stuff. But if you know where and how to ski, they shouldnt be a problem. two thumbs up!

THESE SKIS ARE RIDICULOUS.

I'm so thankful I lost my K2 Seth in the backcountry this year. Got Hellbents to fill in for my pow ski. HOLY SMACKERAL. I can rip as fast as possible while dropping 20-30+ footers and then toss 3's and backs so smooth.. I owe it all to these skis. So stable in the pow, I feel like I'm driving a tank that flies. I recommend skiing them big. I have a 180 park ski and a 189 Hellbent. Definately the way to go. **** Definately must have strong legs and know what you're getting into with these skis, otherwise I imagine they can feel heavy and clunky. But... definately my favorite ski ever, and great setup with Look Px 15 jib trouble bindings.

Funnest skis ever

By: Alex in Vail (1)

These skis are the most fun I've ever had on a ski, ever. They love to charge and float incredibly with the huge surface area and reverse camber. Whether hitting jumps, dropping cliffs, or bombing over mogul fields you just stomp every landing with ease. When skiing tight trees they turned easily and quickly. I've never taken such aggressive lines as on these skis. Oh yeah, on the groomers back down to the base they held their own.

don't let them fool you!

These are the best skis I've ever used on a crud and powder day. I've never had so much fun on a pair of skis! They ski short, so don't let the length fool you. Also, don't let the guy in the shop of lift line question your sanity. These are great skis on the groom, and are soft enough to hammer the crud. The graphics are what they are; hellish and I actually like them. This ski may start a revolution in reverse-camber! Have fun on them!
