K2 T-Nine Phat Luv Alpine Ski - Women's

The K2 Women's T-Nine Phat Luv is back and phatter than ever. This season, K2 upped the ante, adding another 7mm underfoot and to the tip, giving this big mountain charger even more stability and float. With generous width and a solid BioFlex wood core, the Phat Luv Alpine Ski is the only friend you need on powder days. A new tip and progressive side cut make it plane like a champ after big storms. This K2 ski's light weight also makes it an ideal touring ski, so mount up the AT bindings, and blow by the boys. We know it's all about how you ski, not how you look, but the Phat Luv Alpine Ski's graphics will have you smiling before you make your first turn. *Available for US shipment only.

Bottom Line: Float like a butterfly through the pow riding the K2 T-Nine Phat Luv Alpine Skis

Got these off this site and couldn't help but use them this past month here in utah. Luckily we had a day with 15 inches at snowbird. I had so much fun with these that my boyfriend even wanted to take them for a few turns. I quickly stole them back! I do agree that once mounted they are a bit heavy. I put a beefy rossi binding though that could din to 12 in case a future user might need it--also had wide brakes. I thought they also did pretty well on a few of the groomed spots esp since they have great new edges. Really bumpy, choppy was the only place they didn't provide me with a huge grin.

Best in its class

Loves steeps and glades. Quick and responsive edge to edge, busts through crud. Don't bring it out to play on ice , frozen groomers... Save it for the really special snow days and you'll never have a better ski day!

Women's K2 Phat Luv Skis

Got them as a present for my wife for her birthday. She's an advanced skier, but never had had powder skis. She loves them: wide underfoot, but still with good turn performance; cool green color.

in love with phat luv

This review is about last year's model of the phat luv, it is the one with purple shiny graphics. This is an amazing powder ski. I demo'd it a few times before buying, and just had to have it. Lucky me, it popped up on steepandcheap.com for a great deal, thanks to the folks here for the hookup. The ski is a monster, huge dimensions, esp. the sidewall, make it float gracefully through all the freshy pow you can throw at it. This ski is exclusively a powder ski and doesn't do as well in groomed conditions, with some vibration, so stay off the marked trail and keep them safe in the closet when the conditions don't call for them. But, take them with you in the backcountry, the trees, the bowls! I think I am going to mount them with a tele binding for an upcoming hut trip. Also, with bindings and all, the ski becomes sorta heavy to carry, so not for pansies. If I were you, I would demo the ski first to verify the size is comfortable and you can handle the girth. It is worth it to rent them. Get 'em on a powder day and you will be in heaven.
