Julbo Globe Sunglass - Polarized

The Julbo Globe Polarized Sunglasses block 88% of visible light and harsh reflections with their impressive Aquapolar X5 lenses. Though Julbo designed the Globe Sunglasses to take meet the demands of sailing, rafting, and other water sports, they also take on a day of hiking, climbing, or biking. Frame vents help prevent fogging when these Julbo sunglasses accompany you on sweaty trail runs, and rubber ear pads keep them in place during a rough bike ride.

Bottom Line: With lenses built for bluebird days of sailing, the Julbo Globe Polarized Sunglasses stand up to a day in the hills without a second thought.

Do these lenses change percentage of blocked light depending on the environment? (eg. very brigth to average environment)
What are the lenses called?

Flag

Yes, different lenses block different levels of light (and some are better contrasting for different weather conditions, etc.)

These lenses block 88% of available light. If you're on a snowy peak, it'll block 88% of that light, which could still appear somewhat bright. If you're in a dark forest, 88% of the light will still be blocked, and things will appear pretty dark.

If you're wanting lenses that adjust light transmission, you want 'Transitions' lenses. You'll need to get them direct from a prescription sunglass dealer, and be warned that the half-ass tints in sorta-overcast-conditions make anyone look beyond lame.
