Inov 8 F-Lite 230 Trail Running Shoe - Men's

The Inov 8 Men's F-Lite 230 Trail Running Shoe features a thin, low-profile sole for race day and Facia-bands to aid propulsion on training runs. This versatile shoe allows you to train efficiently and kick serious butt at the races without the need for a quiver of footwear. Inov 8 used a nylon mesh upper to make the F-Lite 230 as breathable as possible, so your foot stays nice and cool from start to finish. This shoe also uses Inov 8's sticky rubber outsole for excellent grip on roads and tracks.

Bottom Line: From training to race day—one shoe for everything.

Beautiful Shoes

The blue color is awesome! These are the most comfortable shoes I have ever run in! I tried these after reading a convincing article on barefoot running. Their low profile gives an exceptional feel for the trail. The mesh is very breathable. They don't block water, but they drain fast. The flexible sole doesn't hurt my feet like most other shoes. The toe box gives my wide toe area room while keeping my low volume feet snug. I went up 1/2 a size from normal. I have run about a dozen 8-12 mile runs on packed dirt and moderately rocky trails. These shoes seem quite durable. Pronation control, protection plates, and cushioning are overrated. Get closer to nature with these shoes.

Fit volume is very tight

By:

I got a pair of 9.5s in the flite 250, and although length was ok, width/overall volume is very tight. I had to switch to thinner socks to get my feet reasonably comfortable. Length wise it was ok though (I normally wear salomon xa pro 3d size 9.5, and that's a tad loose). By comparison: Terroc 330 size 9.5: fits well. Rocklite 318 size 9.5 was way too small (length wise my toes were stubbing the front of the shoe), I could have done with a size 10.

Very Nice

First of all these shoes look awesome. Make sure you have matching running shorts. They are very lightweight, with a nice flat sole. I do just as much running on pavement as hard packed trail and they work very well on both. Two possible issues. The lace loop on the tongue of my right shoe ripped off after one day, so possible design flaw but not really critical. These shoes are also very narrow. If you have wide feet you will not be happy.
