Icebreaker BodyFit 260 Altitude Crewe - Long-Sleeve - Men's

The Icebreaker Men's Altitude Crewe Long Underwear Top will take you higher. Layer this base layer under a fleece for backcountry ski trips. Its 260g/m2 BodyFit merino wool breathes well to regulate your temp on the way up, then insulates to keep you warm when you get to the top. Raglan sleeves and underarm gussets provide comfort and freedom of movement. When you're done skiing, stop by the pub on the way home. The Altitude's styling and slim fit makes it a great casual piece, and the anti-odor properties of the wool make sure you're stink free.

Bottom Line: When it comes to performance and comfort, the Altitude Crewe reaches the peak.

Bodyfit 260

This shirt seems to be tailored for a relaxed fit. It doesn't fit nearly as tight at the Bodyfit 200 shirt. It doesn't fit baggy, but it doesn't hug the body like a shirt that would be used as a base/wicking layer would. It is still very comfortable. Materials are top notch and like all Icebreakers won't get stinky with prolonged use without washing. It is not my first choice for a backpacking trip (but not a bad choice if it is your only Icebreaker), but I wear it more casually around the city.

top shelf base layer

i now own 4 pieces of icebreaker base layer, and countless other brands. These are the best—they're comfortable, wear well, wash easily. they don't retain odor and they're very nice looking garments. Yes, they're expensive. I think you get more than enough value out of them.

It's alright, but...

This wasn't quite what I was hoping for from IceBreaker. First a good point: I really like the thumb harnesses - they help to seal up the wrist area in cold weather. I wish that they were a standard (or at least optional) feature on other long-sleeve IceBreakers. Two things that I didn't like so much: 1) the neck is wider (more open) than my other IceBreakers and 2) the seams around the elbows (which are only there for aesthetic purposes - to attach the colored fabric) are irritating on the inside of the arm. I prefer the bodyfit 260 midweight hands down.
