Hestra Anthony Boronowski Pro Glove

Hestra designed the Anthony Boronowski Pro Gloves with backcountry freeriding in mind. For his signature pro model glove, Boronowski added Thermolite insulation for warmth while you are waiting for your buddies to catch up. A breathable, waterproof layer in these gloves keeps hands dry in the backcountry. He also threw in knuckle protection for when you are skiing in tight trees and fighting off branches. Anthony has plenty of style, and so do his pro gloves—contrasting colors and neat, short cuffs add detail.

I am not a fan of huge gauntlets on ski gloves. Too many season of rocking Wells & Lamont rancher gloves a la your friendly neighborhood ski patrollers. I was drawn to the cut and style of the AB Pro, and so far they have been worth the money. The dexterity in the gloves is tremendous, and they are warm. Hestra sizing is a bit funny, I have small hands and bought the 7, which fits great. I am a bit worried as I have seen some of the stitching where the palm meets the finger come loose in about 2+ months of skiing. Nevertheless these are great gloves. Ask anyone else who has a set of Hestra's and they will tell you the same.

i don't ski but am looking for a glove that i can wear for approximately...

i don't ski but am looking for a glove that i can wear for approximately 7 hours while tailgaiting for cold football games in chicago during the harsh winters where temperatures can reach 0 degrees fahrenheit. will the hestra anthony boronowski do the trick?

The Hestra Anthony Boronowski is a very well made glove and will definitely keep your warm. Hestra is a Swedish company that is just now coming to the USA. The Swedes, like hardy Chicagoans, know cold weather!

Keep in mind that these are designed for skiing which is a highly aerobic activity where you body generates a lot of heat. Unfortunately tailgating is not. So you might feel a little bit of chill around 0 degrees. On those coldest days I would suggest a mitten such as:

But the well made leather palm will definitely help you keep a tight grip on your beverage of choice outside Soldier Field.

I say 4 stars, but I really mean 4.5 stars. these are pretty close to hitting the nail on the head. They are waterproof which I considered a must, they are built better then the Dakine Cobra's that I destroyed over the last year and a half, they are a lower profile, while being just as warm. My biggest (only) problem with these gloves is the style of the cuff, I do prefer the under sleeve style but these aren't as comfortable and well sealed as the wrist closures on the Vertical Cut Freeride. I could have went with the XCR's (which aren't as low profile as these) but these look pretty damn cool, and they are a great glove that I don't regret buying
