If you don't want to lug heavy silverware in your pack, don't go caveman on us and eat with your hands. Take along the GSI Outdoors Lexan Fork. Made of Lexan resin, this camping fork is nearly indestructible. Shove it in your pack, and you won't even know it's there.

Bottom Line: When ounces add up to pounds, pack the GSI Outdoors Lexan Fork.

Just as important as the pot in my mind. These last forever as long as you don't leave them next to the stove (some melting did occur). They are very durable otherwise and pretty cheap!

price is right

not as cheap as free flatware from burger king but not as weak either. durable enough to eat and stir the thickest of mashers with. And won't scratch your cookware. I haven't had any problems with it melting yet. If it does o well .60 cents gets your another one.

Non Scratching

It is better than titanium if you are eating directly from Teflon-coated cookware.

Well I'll Be Forked

By:

Like the spoon, this fork is inexpensive, lightweight, & strong. Unlike non-lexan forks, these tines don't break. Now go fork yourself & enjoy!

Plastic fork that lasts a bit

By:
April 2, 2008

If you want to replace the fast food plastic forks you've had in your cookset for years, but aren't willing to spend the money on steel or titanium, this is for you. Lightweight and durable within reason, the price is what keeps me coming back to these when I need to replace or expand my camp kitchen.

Nice Plastic Fork

This is better than all those picnic forks out there. Strong, sturdy and lightweight, it does all that a fork should.

Fork U

Durable, light, and cheap. I prefer a fork and spoon over sporks/foons, and the Lex doesn't scratch nonstick cookware.

Priced right

What you get for the price in the GSI lexan flatware is great. I used these exclusively for years before I went titanium. I still use the Lexan because it doesn't scratch my non-stick cookware. They can melt if you cook greasy stuff like bacon but for the price get a bunch.
