Granite Gear Nimbus Latitude KI Backpack - Women's - 3900cu in

The ingenious Granite Gear Nimbus Latitude Ki Women's Backpack features a panel access system that opens your pack from the top or bottom. Be able to quickly find your headlamp as the sun is setting, and do it without having to unpack everything. Internal compression straps keep your gear stable, and the stretchy zip panel lets you stuff the Nimbus to the brim. A removable, internal lid gives you a place to store smaller items or dirty socks. Side stretch pockets give you room for water bottles, snacks, jackets, and other gear you want close at hand. Granite Gear made this backpack lightweight but not so light that it's just a bag with straps. The Latitude Ki's adjustable shoulder-strap attachment gives you a fine-tuned fit and allows you to carry up to 50 pounds comfortably.

Bottom Line: When you want a lightweight pack but not so lightweight you have to give up pockets and zippers, get the front-loading Granite Gear Nimbus Latitude Ki.

Finally-the perfect balanced pack

By:

After an exhaustive search for a long weekend/week long backpacking pack, I finally have found the perfect pack (for me). It is relatively lightweight, without sacrificing on suspension. Also, it doesn't skimp on the "frills" that make a pack convenient (pockets and ways to clip things) that many manufacturers assume you don't want unless you want to lug a 7 pound beast around. I appreciate the women's design aspects--no boob-crunching chest strap and waist belt angled for a woman's hips. Obviously it's not for everyone, but it's definitely worth considering if you like the luxury of a mid-size pack without the added weight that normally comes with it.

This all depends on your torso measurement. To find your torso length, measure your back along the spine from the the top point of your hipbones to the knobby bone at the base of your neck. This will give you a measurement in inches that will determine the correct pack size.

Nimbus 3900cu in

Such a cool pack. It has the ability of being light yet tough. The earthy colors of putty/red is so nice with jeans or some khaki shorts. It allows a fit where air can flow behind your back and my sleeping bag fits nicely inside. Hey, the vertical zips allow complete exposure to get at anything in a moment. I would recommend this pack as an A+
