GoLite VO24 Backpack - Women's - 1400 cu in

Every feature of the GoLite Women's VO24 Pack makes it an ideal choice for adventure racing and day hikes that cover more ground than most backpackers do in a weekend. The 1400cu inch main compartment holds enough gear for a light day on the trail, and the 1lb 5oz weight keeps a smile on every fast-packer's face. A front pocket holds small items like your headlamp, and the waist-belt pocket keeps your lip balm and compass within easy reach. GoLite topped the Women's VO24 Pack with a space mesh back-panel and shoulder straps to ensure excellent breathability as you cross mile 18 in the early afternoon.

Bottom Line: The GoLite Women's VO24 Pack—built for speed on the trail.

The side pockets (shown with water bottle) were modified after this pre-production prototype, and now are only about three inches deep, too shallow to hold a water bottle or much of anything. See the photo of the large version for correct information.

I'm asking again just in case... Will you tell me how to measure my torso to determine the size?

Flag

With the help of a friend, locate the bony bump at the base of your neck. This is where the slope of your shoulder meets your neck, also known as the seventh vertebra. Tilt your head forward to locate it more easily.
Using a flexible tape measure, have your friend start measuring at that spot down your spine, following the curves of your back.
Place your hands on your hips to feel your iliac crest, the twin pointy protrusions on the front of your hips. Position your hands so your thumbs are reaching behind you.
Finish measuring at the point where the tape crosses an imaginary line between your thumbs. This distance is your torso length.

Nice pack

I bought this pack for snowshoeing. One of the main features I was looking for in a pack was water bottle holders. This pack has one on each side which is why I purchased it. The only problem is you have to be a contortionist to be able to reach your water while the pack is on your back. Otherwise, the pack was comfortable and I liked it.

Nice daypack

This is a very nice very light daypack which seems to fit everything I like to take along on a day hike. I really like the little pockets on the waistbelt; I could fit chapstick, phone, snacks, bug spray, keys, etc. comfortably to keep at hand. Hiking poles fit in the back open pocket with bungee cord. A 70 oz. Camelbak bladder fits easily in the hydration pouch. Water bottle pouches on the side held bear spray and a bottle of Gatorade. The narrow design makes it easy to swing your arms while you walk. Ergonomically designed for a woman--very comfy. Best of all, my back and shoulders didn't ache at the end of a 13 mile hike as they would with my old pack. Highly recommended--but remember, the best pack is the one that fits you best!
