Giro Tuneups Wireless - 2007
Upgrade your Giro Helmet with Tuneups Wireless and control your Bluetooth-enabled MP3 player and cell phone hands free. Integrated music controls allow you to turn up the volume, select tracks, and press pause without unzipping your jacket. Giro built a microphone and call connect button into the TuneUps wireless system, which allows you to answer your cell phone wirelessly. When you get done riding, use the DJ quality headset with swivel ear cups to listen to tunes in your room—Tuneups Wireless operates with a range of a hundred feet. There's even a hidden audio cord plug-in for use with non-Bluetooth-enabled music players.
Bottom Line: Use the Giro Tuneups Wireless System and ditch the wires.
Talk shop with all the gear freaks out there: ask 'em questions, upload/browse photos, and give your 2¢.

It should'nt have any problem with pow. I wouldnt take it wake boarding, but on the slopes even in the wettest snow you should be fine.

Call quality is about a 3.5 out of 5. I never have dropped a call however, it crackles every now and then. Audio is great except for the fact that the BT dongle for my iPod drains the iPod batter in a day instead of it lasting almost a week. Thank god for wall/car/USB chargers.

If it's one thing you don't want to do on a mountain, especially when it is cold, is take your gloves off and muck around with your iPod. With the controls on the outside of your helmet, you can adjust volume and even change the tracks as you are barreling down the mountain. The only reason you would need to handle your iPod is if you need to change artists/albums. Even then, just stick your entire collection on Shuffle, and easily skip the mellow tracks. Battery life is pretty decent, and I have yet to have them run out of juice before I do (or before the mountain closes).
The only issue I've had with these headphones is when it gets WICKED cold out. Bluetooth doesn't work so well in really cold conditions (that particular day it was probably around - 10 to - 20 C / 14 to -4 F with wind chill). Luckily, Giro gives you a cord to wire your iPod to your headphones when the signal starts to cut out.
I have been able to pair my iPhone with these (only for phone functionality), however have yet to make/receive a phone call. Personally, I don't want to talk to anyone while screaming down a cruiser or playing in some pow. So no big loss there. Answering those calls may let your boss know that you're not in your cubicle anyway.
I'd highly recommend these to anyone that wants to cut the cord and make interacting with their music on the mountain easier.

Check how the earpads come on and off on your fuse. If the pads snap out by pulling on the earpads and the tab that goes in is a trapezoid shape then yes it the same and should fit. Look at the shape of the earpads in the picture. If its similar to yours minus the big circle in the middle it should be fine.

I've got my G9 + Tuneups wireless here in front of me... with my iPhone... and I can't get it to connect. I see the device as paired in my phone's settings... but the headset isn't doing anything!
