Giro Bad Lieutenant Helmet
The Giro Bad Lieutenant Helmet is standard-issue gear for riders working on advanced maneuvers around the globe. A high-impact ABS shell is bonded with an impact-absorbing EPS liner for protection against incoming fire and hard landings. The removable earpads are backed with plush fleece padding. Because you're in combat mode, you'll have to do without ventilation. The Lieutenant is TuneUps compatible. The Green Camo and Snow Camo helmets have canvas covering.
Bottom Line: Bring the Giro Bad Lieutenant Helmet to assault the park.

I chose the black leather model and I am very satisfied. The helmet has a fantastic look. The absence of vents is not a problem and I never felt sweaty while skiing or overheated. Not itchy at all like with my usual wool ski beanie. Great purchase at a great price.

This helmet is awesome at an excellent price. One tip I would give is to put your goggle strap inside of your helmet if you have the extra room...

Great looking helmet, but it is a tad bigger and heavier than most. It also doesn't have vents so it can get hot in there. All in all, it's a decent helmet and I really didn't notice the drawbacks while I was boarding.

I was a little concerned about wearing a helmet when i ride and feeling like a bobble head. Well, the Bad Lieutenant exceeded all my expectations. I could hear well, no limitations to my peripheral vision, no heavy "bobble head" feeling. I highly recommend this helmet to anyone. Plus, its totally stylin'!!!

My 13 year old snowboarding/park rat son and I have been wearing the Bad Lt. for the past 2 seasons. There are no downsides to this item. It looks great, the audio ear flaps sound great and keep ears warm, a sturdy snap strap holds goggles in place and there are no gaps between the goggles and helmet. The lack of vents is a non-issue - you do not overheat. The fact my son proactively puts it on for the looks and the music and I wear it because I'm old enough to know that it could be the difference one day (and as I said, it does keep ears warm and does sound great) makes this an all around winner. I also believe that the helmet has a timeless enough quality (in other words it will still be "cool", "steezy" or whatever the word will be in 3-5 years) that I have one each extras in the attic.

This is the best helmet i have ever worn, it has padding to ensure comfortable fit, removable padding just in case you want to wear a beanie or just make room for you head. Sizes matched exactly. The helmet is so light you barely even feel it and then when i took a hard crash i got whip lash and my head hit but with this helmet i barely felt it. overall the best helmet i have ever had and will ever have.
I fully recommend to every one considering this helmet.

The helmet is pretty good. Performs well and looks good. Just be careful. In colder temps the ear pieces seem to be very fragile as they are attached with a thinner plastic.

I love this new helmet that i just bought. the best part about it is that it looks so good out on the mountain and perfectly matches my awesome k2 silencers. the helmet keeps my head and ears really warm when it gets cold later in the evening but when its warm it's great to be able to remove the ear warmers with such great ease. The Bad: not easy to tighten with the chin strap in place, and goggles seem to not want to stay on the helmet when they are taken off the face. all in all i would recommend this product

Decent helmet, not the most comfortable helmet I've ever worn, but with some adjustment it fits pretty well. Looks good and has a nice chin strap.

The Bad Lieutenant helmet is "bad." I mean-- it's girly-cool(I have the black with pink cherry blossoms); it keeps my ears warm without having to wear additional headwear; it's ultra comfy!

This is my second helmet, and I totally love it. I never wore my first helmet because I felt pretty lame in it but this one is another story. It's nice and light so I can't even tell it's there and the matte black finish makes for a nice mini graffiti board for my dome. I blinged it out and now I have the most flash-tastic helmet on the mountain! I would recommend trying it on in a shop first though just like any other helmet cuz it fits way different than any other helmet I've tried on. :)

i have this helmet in "blood red". it's beautiful! it fits perfectly, though my head gets a little warm but it's better than being cold. i hit my head once and i really think it prevented a concussion. it really does stand out.

I've been snowboarding for 7 years, and this is my first helmet... and let me tell you it was a great first choice, This Helmet offers maximum protection, and style and I guess you could say it"stands out in a crowd", I'm really glad I found this helmet, before I went to the store and bought a helmet that everybody has. This site has really low prices. so if you're debating about getting this helmet over another one, get this one.

The Giro Bad Lieutenant was my first boarding helmet ever. This helmet doesn't have any vent holes which is a plus on those really cold days for added warmth. It makes your head bounce well off the snow, without any discomfort and you look cool while doing it. definitely the helmet to buy

4 months ago I purchased the Giro Bad Lieutenant Helmet. I chose the helmet with the Grim Reaper design. It was a very comfortable and warm helmet. I recently returned from Hokkaido Japan and I wore this helmet throughout my trip and not only did it provide me with adequate protection, but everyone that I spoke to on the mountain complemented on how unique and cool the helmet was.
If you want a helmet that protects and looks cool, this is the helmet for you!

I got the alloy color, and it's awesome - retro Korean War / hip with the shiny shell and crazy dancing butterflies with flowers. Sexiest helmet on the hill! And comfy, and WARM.

Awesome looks that keep you warm without a hat, but can be worn with one if you take the padding out. Could use a little more padding on the top of the head for better comfort, but thats a very minor problem. Haven't had any problems with airflow for the goggles either. Overall Very Good!

This is the helmet you need in the trenches. I wear it Mountainboarding and it has saved my head more than once. Very good fitting helmet. I have the Reaper one so it looks sick as hell ripping down hills. Also have the Audio inserts great sound to ride too. Can't wait to use snowboarding. Get this helmet you won't regret it.

The Helmet has worked out good so far. Only have used it one day, but the fit felt pretty good. It was about 35 degrees in the morning and it kept my noggin at an ok temp. For the price very good though.

The pictures don't show it, but there is a strap that holds your goggles in place. I actually like that there are no vents because it's warmer...and there's a ton of removable lining inside if you want to make more room for a beanie...or just more room for your head.

Mine is the camo green and I also have a grey one from 2002 or 2001. The Tune-ups don't fit the old one, so I hooked the new one. The old one was a large, new green camo helmet is a medium, it’s snug, but not uncomfortable. Thing is, this new greenie gets a lot of attention, people love it, people think I’m in the military, I just get a lot of comments. It’s perfect for what it does, and it looks badass.

Okay, so I bought it because it looked good/different, but it has saved my head a couple of times already, so it does what it is supposed to, which is the main thing. It's a little awkward with Oakley goggles (and others that don't have extended strap thingy's, but you get used to it. Definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to break from the dome head look, but sticker it up please.

This helmet is the real deal, great looks, great protection, great fit. Perfect!! If all helmets looked as good as this we'd all be wearing one!! Some people complain about the venting on this model, but I had no trouble at all, if you do, try wearing a light weight cotton beanie underneath and you'll be fine.

At first I thought that the helmet was gonna fit weird because it looked shallow, but when I put it on the earflaps kinda suck it down to your head. I have taken a really hard slam this past week and it was awesome! It stays glued to your head before and after impact, I wear my chinstrap loose so this was a surprise. And with goggles it is perfect with a slight overhang it covers up any unsightly gaps between the helmet and googles.2 thumbs way up!!!

My boys both love it! It is so hard to get kids to want to wear a helmet but this one does the trick. They tell me it is so cool, and it keeps their ears warm. It gives me peace of mind because I know when they hit the slopes they are safer.

Even without any vents, this helmet doesn't make your head sweat. And besides the design is the best on the market. And for you girlies who complain about no vents. It would ruin the total look of the helmet.

Good helmet. Stylie, but a bit heavy. I had no problem with the venting, but you think Giro could have added some of that nice light technology that they have for their other helmets (bike, snow) in this one too.

I bought this helmet as a gift for my boyfriend--he loves it and so do I. When we go snowboarding he looks like something out of Counterstrike, which I think is downright sexy. He loves it because it fits well, is comfortable, and looks good.
