Fi'zi:k Arione K-1 Tech Wing Flex Road Saddle

No, that's not an alien spacecraft in the picture above—it's the Fi'zi:k Arione K:1 Road Saddle, and it came from the future. Don't bother looking for leather or fabric anywhere on this seat, and you can forget about metal as well. In fact, the only thing you should be looking for is carbon fiber, because that's all you're going to find in the Arione K:1. The whole seat, rails included, is a carbon-fiber sculpture worthy of a modern art museum, and at 149 grams it practically hovers above your hand when you hold it. It's like the Platonic ideal of a road cycling saddle, stripped to its bare skeleton in a perverse laboratory experiment. Yet, amazingly enough, the Arione K:1 is reasonably comfortable thanks to Fi'zi:k's Wing Flex Technology, which uses strategic gel-filled cutouts to create forgiveness in the shell itself instead of adding weight with padding.

Bottom Line: It's not polite to stare.

i've been wanting to try a "full carbon" saddle for a long time so i figured I'd try my friends. besides costing ~400 it also feels like your sitting on your top tube. im not kidding when i make fun of him for future impotence problems. there are seats that weigh less and actually have a little padding. do the right thing, dont go under ~190g and keep it padded. the doctor bills your saving are well worth the 50g.

well. . . . . if you have never used a nice, nice saddle than it's truly hard to compare. is Dura Ace worth the difference over 105? YES! is a seven better than a bike you would get a target? You bet. if you are in your saddle for miles and miles, you will pay anything for a happy ass.

As if by magic.....

The feel of my Fi'zi:k K-1 is like riding on air. It weighs nothing and is more comfortable than my old road saddle. It's as if by magic my Pinarello Dogma has been transformed into a new machine. Did I mention, it looks really cool!
