Fischer Misfit Alpine Ski

The Fischer Misfit Alpine Ski is a backcountry twintip for taking the park out-of-bounds. Twinned-up for switch hits, directional enough for all-mountain utility, and fat enough to keep you afloat, the Misfit is a blend of in-bounds freestyle and out-of-bounds float that will stomp in the fluff or the park all day long, then cruise back to the base lodge like a Cadillac. Fischer's vertical sidewalls, all-wood core and dual-titanal sandwich construction mean that the Misfit will stay on course inside the gates and take a beating in the bush.

Bottom Line: Take your steeze to the trees with the Fischer Misfit.

Does Everything

I (5'10", 170lb.) am a VT skier, but I had a chance to try these (177) last winter at Big Sky under the previous name/topsheet (Kehua). Although I can not testify to their performance in the park as it is not something I am in to, I loved these enough to buy these as my quiver of one. Although they are not as stiff as maybe the Mantra, they still rail on hardpack with a lot of pop and agility to keep things exciting. The also blew through crud and floated my just fine even at the shorter length. This ski is also light and I will be using this with a Marker Baron and BD Factors to split time between resort and 1/2 day tours. I bought these over the summer at 177cm because I prefer less length for trees and bumps. This is a great all moutain (front and back) ski. I hope this helps.

if your lookin for a ski you'll be in the park with mainly, no disrespect to Fischer, there are better options. Check out the Line Chronic, K2 Public Enemy, Dynastar Trouble Maker and Salomon Foil. Depending upon how you ski, and your body type, make sure you also get some nice bindings. Ive used salomon ti's on all my skis, you dont want some bulky binding tiring you out by mid day.

Tweak = I find these skis awesome for everything. I spend most of my time in the pow and when that's gone I rip the entire Mt. These skis hold up well on everything. I'm not afraid to take these in the park either although I don't do that now cause I have them mounted with NX21 Naxo Alpine touring bindings.

Touring, All Mt ripping, jibs, park..they do it all well.

Wickedly Wicked

I have had a chance to ski these twice this year, both on early season hardpack. So far so good; this ski has amazing pop, is quick edge to edge (182cm) and just the right amount of stiffness for me (volkls for the most part being too stiff). You can really lay out a nice carve on these...I have yet to try them in any bumps or crud...give them a chance, fischer makes amazing skis (disregard deepsteep's review below, obviously he has never skied these skis)

I'm 5'1'' 185 and I have the 182 CM version. I find these skis stable at speed and a pleasure to ride. The wider waist lets you float and the 21M turn radius still lets you carve some nice medium turns. Even with touring bindings I find these skis responsive. If you are looking for something Very Very stiff, look elsewhere.
