The Exstream® ViruStat® purification cartridges are designed to be used with Exstream® personal water purification systems and deliver 26 gallons (100 liters) of pure water, which would provide an entire month's worth (a gallon a day) of microbe-free water for an extended trip or expedition. The Exstream® ViruStat® purification cartridges are designed to be used with Exstream® personal water purification systems and deliver 26 gallons (100 liters) of pure water, which would provide an entire month's worth (a gallon a day) of microbe-free water for an extended trip or expedition. For the average consumer, the system is projected to last approx. 5 months with moderate use. ViruStat® water cartridges are EPA registered and remove over 99.9% of waterborne cysts and protozoa like Giardia and Cryptosporidium. It also kills over 99.9999% of waterborne bacteria and 99.99% of waterborne viruses.

I'm sending a lazy boy to Cameroon & am looking for a reasonably easy water purifying system. He will be in cities primarily. Is this something that would work & that he would use?
