Nalgene Lexan Wide Mouth Water Bottle - 32oz
The extremely durable Nalgene Lexan Wide Mouth water bottle has gained a cult following for good reason. The Lexan plastic is virtually indestructible and can withstand temperatures from –200F to 200F. Feel free to freeze your favorite beverage in your Nalgene the night before a big climb—it can take it. (We don't recommend pouring boiling water into the Lexan Wide Mouth, however.) It comes in every color imaginable, plus these are printed with the Backcountry.com logo, so you can accessorize with style, and holds 32oz of hydration so you can stay energized all day. The loop-top cap makes for easy one-fingered carrying or can be clipped to a pack with a carabiner for care-free trekking. *Do not use with boiling liquids, and do not put near the heating element in a dishwasher.
Bottom Line: There's no love like the love of a Nalgene bottle.

I was getting items and she needed a water container so she got a gift and enjoys using the bottle every day to keep track of how much water she drinks - she loves it!

A standard piece of gear. I carry 1 of these and 1 lighter water container, like a bladder or Gatorade bottle. What can I say? It always works and is hard to break.

I love sporting the Logo of the Goat. It is a logo that stands out in any outdoor enthusiasts mind if they have ever order with us here. Not only that but it gets the place where i work tons of acknowledgment from people. I love my job and love showing off where I work. Some people actually get jealous when they find out I work for a sweet company.

Honestly, when I first heard the advertising slogan "it's not a bottle, it's a nalgene", I thought it was a bit hokey, but it's true. There really is no competitor to this kind of quality. I am convinced that there is no height that will break an empty bottle, and having dropped a full one from around 100 feet onto rock with no damage, I'm pretty sold. This bottle is a hot water bottle, a mug, a hammer (walnuts or tent stakes), a lantern (fill it with lemonade and shine a headlamp into the top) a paperweight, a squirrel deterrent, glasses case (or anything else you don't want crushed) an ice bottle for your cooler (doesn't break, even if you freeze it with the lid closed), etc, etc.
Bottom Line: If you aren't convinced that Nalgene is the best and only choice, you're on the wrong planet

The bottle is your typical Nalgene -- but better with a Backcountry logo. Sporting the goat wherever I go.

a great water bottle! Whether I'm on a hike or working out it's been right there for me. I've dropped it and dropped things on it yet it has stood up to everything. It did have a slight aftertaste the first couple days I had it but that quickly went away. Also the inexpensive price made it a perfect Christmas gift for my friends!

There's no limit!! We love our Nalgenes and own more than 10. We have a separate shelf in the fridge for them. They are virtually indestructible and just downright cool.

It's the best water bottle out there, and this design is better than Nalgene's newer design because in the new one, the cap is a rubbery material that can start to stink quickly. This one is stink-free, leak-free, and practically unbreakable.

You just simply can't complain about these tanks of the water bottle world. They may say you can't put it in your cup holder, but who cares! These rugged bottles aren't made for the business commuter; they are for the great outdoors and all which that entails. I love the volume indicator and they are great for backpacking and holding large amounts of accessible liquid. For the nay sayers who don’t like the wide mouth, if you are really so uncoordinated that you can't drink out of a round cylindrical shape, buy one of the Camelbak bottles or hydration packs. Otherwise don't complain. You wouldn't see me buying a tent and then complaining about its usefulness inside my apartment. It's not a fashion statement, it’s the means to and end. If you want a great volume of liquid in a dynamic indestructible bottle get a Nalgene, otherwise get a camelbak.

Tough, durable and not ugly, this water bottle does the trick. The only extra item needed is a 'biner to clip it to something.

The only way this could not be a perfect product is if it had some glaring deficiency, but it doesn't. It's cheap and does what it is supposed to.

I ordered 2 new lexan water bottles to replace my old nalgene ones. I liked the color choices and the price offered so I ordered them from this site. When I received them, neither one opened nor closed easily. I found I needed to open and close, screw and unscrew the caps several times and even then they didn't seem to close up tightly/securely, which was rather frustrating when I just want to grab it, fill it, close it and go. By comparison, my older nalgene bottles enabled me to fill them, turn the cap a couple of times and they tightened nice and securely. This experience will not deter me from purchasing other items, however. I chalk it up to an unlucky experience receiving a defective product. Their return policy was fair and efficient. Thanks!

These bottles are indestructible (as far as my efforts to break them are concerned) and don't retain a taste after washing. If you leave one in the car with a bit of water in it in the summer, you get a bit of algae-ish funk, but it washes right out. And hey, all the cool kids have one, you should get one too:)

I don't think there is such a thing as having too many Nalgenes. We use them daily to keep hydrated and always when we hike, camp, or workout. They are lightweight, you can't break them, and they wash well in the dishwasher (I can't say the same for all of the stickers I put on them). I also love that no matter what liquid I have in the bottle, I can't taste it after washing.

I accidentally threw this bottle off of a cliff the other day while climbing and found it again near my car at the end of the day. These water bottles can withstand anything! My only problem with them is that the round design does make them prone to continued rolling, even when a fall is coming up.

Nalgene is a miracle bottle. But, beware the dishwasher. Virtually indestructible with one weakness, the cap. Everyone I came in contact with on the A.T. had to replace the cap due to meltdown in dishwasher. Expensive when you compare to a Gatorade bottle. Can pour boiling water into... Great piece of equipment.

I am pretty harsh on my gear, and this is the one piece that seems to keep coming back for more. I road bike with it, snowboard, hike, camp, you name it, its been done. Super light, easy to clean and use. This is the only bottle that you will ever need!

Great price, color and style. The only down size is its to large to fit in a car/suv drink holder. I prefer to bring my own water and that's sort of a down side on the large size of the bottle. ( I don't like having it rolling around in the sit and baby sitting it so to speak. Cap and plastic holder that goes on the bottle is solid and doesn't leak.

Sturdy, excellent ounce measuring lines, no taste even after sitting in car all day with outside temps at 100F. Large enough to be useful for water, shakes, or other beverages. There is even a large selection of colors. Also, I love the goat logo on the side!

I can't really elaborate too much for you, past what other have already written here. It is the standard by which any and ALL other water bottles are judged by, period.
They don't absorb odor, taste or color. They are extremely rigid but flexible enough to be virtually indestructible. Drops won't hurt it or spill your brew. I've used these for years and they are the best and most versatile.
Most water filters, accessories and cook ware cater to their dimensions and diameters.
Camping, fishing, kayaking, mountain climbing, surfing, snowboarding, hiking, running, skiing, or just traveling are ya.....you need to get yourself one of these bad boys.
My favorite personal use is as follows: I preload several 32's with powdered gatorade on Sundays for my workouts during the week. Quick and easy.
Bottoms up!

We ran over one of these things with a 15000 lb Water Truck once in AK and it lived. These are a must have for any serious hiking or backpacking, or just for day to day use. The only downside I have noticed is that over time the measuring marks have worn down. After 3 years of serious use this thing is still getting used.

I've used these for years and will continue to use them. They are great for backpacking and just about any activity where you need to take water along. They don't make your water taste funny like some bottles, and they are very durable. Just how durable? Well my husband and I were riding our enduro motorcycles, and he had two of these bottles in a fanny pack. He went down on his bike and slid on his side down the gravel road. One of the bottles scraped along the road during the accident. The bottle had some nasty scrapes on it, but the only thing that broke was the little strap that connects the lid to the bottle. The bottle survived the crash and is still usable. As for my husband, he was able to get up and ride away with only a few bruises, some torn clothes, and a scraped up helmet.

I dropped the bottle many times while I was doing the Inca Trail. The bottle got scratched, but resisted the free falls. However; the plastic attachment for the lid started to crack and it is about to break now; Manufacturers should use a better material for this.

I did not bring this on my trip as plan since it was so big and did not fit my water bottle holder my back pack had [had a small back pack]. I bought a small version and it worked well. Did not break held up to the different weather temp and did not hold the taste of the liquids poured in it. Great stuff - nalgene material.

I've wanted a nalgene for the longest time, but never got around to it. I'm sure glad i finally did though. it's big, durable, and keeps my drinks cold. i also don't have to waste as many paper/plastic cups at work. i recommend that everyone get one.

Basically everybody is familiar with Nalgene bottles. I took eight of them on a recent trip to Big Bend NP and had no problems with any. I prefer the narrow mouth bottles for drinking out of, but these are not as easy to clean as the wide-mouth. The Lexan does not affect the taste like some older polyurethane Nalgene bottles I also have do, so I prefer the Lexan. I did leave a couple of almost full Nalgene bottles outside the tent at night..they were frozen solid in the morning but DID NOT CRACK. Great bottles.

The nalgene bottles are so tough, easy to clean and will not make the water in bad taste and bad odor. Some travel bottles makes the water bad in taste and odor the longer you stay the water on it. I like this bottle because its tough on bumps, stylish design and it will not leak even if it is placed on an inverted way.

Yeah, 81 people have reviewed this bottle before me. In summary: High quality. Practically indestructible. Taste and odor free. Worth the money.
The only reason I ever buy new ones is because the old one got lost; c'mon, buy one already!
