Eagle Creek ORV Trunk 30 - 6000 cu in
Moving from one state to another? Suffer from extreme over-packing? The Eagle Creek ORV Trunk 30 employs a smart (and big) design to help you keep all that stuff where you can easily find it. The ORV Trunk 30 provides plenty of exterior and interior pockets, an interior cargo net, and a separate seam-sealed compartment for your dirty laundry or muddy shoes. For extreme organization, integrate this luggage with Eagle Creek's Mud, Gear, and Drop Boxes. An oversized front panel opening and gear tailgate make packing and unpacking easy. Compression straps, skate wheels, a telescoping handle, and reinforced stress points will help you shuttle your cargo with ease.
Bottom Line: During long trips and big moves, the Eagle Creek ORV Trunk's smart design and cavernous capacity work in your favor.

highly recommended!

Our Eagle Creek trunk was nicer and sturdier than I pictured! We are traveling to Italy and allowed only one bag which worried me but as I am packing I find I have plenty of room W/ room to spare. This bag is a classic and I especially like its durability & design. Definately worth the money in my opinion. I plan to use it for a lifetime!!
Luv it - might buy another!

Bought this bag for an 8-day vacation to the southwest (husband wanted to buy 1 bag for us to share rather than lug around 2 carry-ons). Two enthusiastic thumbs up! It's great looking and though I was initially nervous about having enough room, we were able to pack us both in the 2 separate compartments. Fully stuffed it weighed 46 pounds (max is 50 for airlines) so that was perfect, too. As we might do a few weeks in China next year, we are considering buying another.

Hi,1. Why is someone complaining that this 30" ORV exceeds the airlines dimensional limits? I need a bag to check in.2. Is the EC Pack It Drop Box designed to drop into the duffel's two exterior pockets? Thanks

1. According to the specifications provided by Eagle Creek this bag is not big enough to be considered over size on the major airlines in the United States. It is 61" and most airlines (American, Delta, Northwest, United, and Us Air) allow bags up to 62" before they charge an extra fee. I guess i haven't measured it myself, but I doubt Eagle Creek would lie about the size. 2. The two exterior pockets are not big enough to hold the Drop Boxes. If you want something to hold two Drop Boxes look at the ORV take 2. The removable duffel will hold two drop boxes and a medium gear box.

Well built and designed. Empty it's pretty light and it holds a ton of stuff.

Check in luggage cannot exceed 62 linear inches. This bag is 61 (30+15+16=61). I dont understand why the person below was charged a fine.
I had to do a star rating but do not have this bag as of yet. Seriously considering it though
Great bag!

Just returned from a 2+ week through Europe consisting of mostly one night stays- this bag worked great! No troubles at all with airline check-ins (other than the temptation to pack it too heavy- there is so much room!) Very easy to manage in/out of cars, rolling across cobblestones and carrying up/down tons of stairs. Great handle placement and weigh distributions. Really liked that zippers aligned allowing one lock to cover all but the bottom front compartment. (drop bag does not fit into either exterior pockets, but a half-cube does!)
Quality bag

Just flew to Frankfurt Germany from Arizona and back. No issues from the airlines. Solid bag with a bullet proof warranty. Eagle Creek makes good stuff, nuff said. Could use some more organizer pouches, but, I think it's a solid bag.

I travel. Over 150,000 miles and 4 continents in the last 10 months. In that time, I've trashed 6 bags. Had this one a month. Made two trips to Canada (Val D 'Or and northern Newfoundland) and not a thread loose.
I travel with work boots and outdoor clothes and struggle not to exceed weight limits, but this bag makes life a lot easier. It won't easily pack your suits though, the shape makes it less than perfect for that.
I'm 6'2" and the handle lets me drag it without clipping my heels, also a big plus.
I'd buy it again, but with a lifetime warranty I'll never have to. What else can I say?
Wonderful Bag

I took this bag on a three week trip to Europe. It stood up well to airline abuse and was dragged all over the place including a 20 minute walk in the rain to a train station. The wheels are holding up well despite this. I especially like the warranty on this product but don't think I'll ever need to use it since this seems to be a very well made product. The "extra compartment" may work well for some, but I think the extra bagging adds more weight to the product, something which is important when the airlines are charging for every extra ounce.
Wonderful bag - meets all airline req

I just returned from a 2 wk trip to Yellowstone/Tetons. This was my first time out with this bag and I was able to cram everything I needed into it. I used the Eagle Creek cubes and one envelope for organization. I couldn't believe what I could put in this bag! I had NO AIRLINE ISSUES, either. My bag was underweight (by about 5 lb) and noone batted an eye at the size. This (or the smaller 25 inch we also own) will be the only bag I use from now on. It rolls better than any other piece of luggage we own.
Checked it without a problem

Love this bag! Just did 10 days in Guatemala, bounced it around pretty hard - it never complained and still looks good. The boot box was great for my concrete-caked boots. Leaving IAH on Continental I was overweight (had a hammer drill and a sawzall stuffed in it) so I got fined $25, but on the way back I was under 50lbs and had no problem checking - no fee for oversize or anything. Great bag.

I loved this bag, found it to be spacious, well designed, and aesthetically pleasing. I was really disappointed when I discovered that I could not put it on an airplane without a fine because it exceeds dimension limits. For car/train travel I strongly recommend this bag. To avoid approx. $200 each time I want to put it on the plane, I had to put a hole in my pocket from return shipping costs.
looks sturdy and indestructible

Even though I haven't had a chance to use my ORV Trunk yet, I know I won't be disappointed. It looks sturdy and indestructible, and if it performs anything like my other Eagle Creek products, I know it'll be a great bag.

I was really excited about this bag until I realized you need to pay extra to put it on a plane because the dimensions are too large. If you are going snowboarding or using this bag for train/car travel, I would recommend it. Return shipping costs have hurt my pockets.
