Eagle Creek Load Warrior LT Series Wheeled Duffel Bags

I bought this bag to replace a Timberland soft rolling duffel that I had for years, and the main feature that I love is that it stands up by itself, which the Timberland did not. It is also as light as advertised, holds a good amount of gear and rolls well. I got mine in Tomato to help pick it out on the luggage carousel. The one slightly negative is that when the back is packed full, it is hard to get the zippers around the corners for some reason.

The bag was pretty as described and reviewed by other customers. It was extremely light, well built, and rolls extremely well. The fact that it stands on its own is another selling point by itself because it makes it easy to use. There were two things Eagle creek could change though. The handle has a zip cover that has to be opened to use and you can't get to it until you open the cover. If my hands were full this would be a problem. Secondly and most importantly they didn't put two zippers on each of the small pockets on top of the bag so you can't lock the pocket. One of the zippers can be locked with the main compartment zipper, but the other really has nothing to lock it to. It would be nice if they incorporated a metal d ring at one of the zipper to lock the pocket. Otherwise a great bag and worth the money.

I have the 22 and the 25 for various kinds of trips. Excellent bags. They hold a ton more than appear at first glance. Wheels wide apart for steady rolling. No more tipping when you're late from the parking lot to the ticket counter!! Can't say enough about these bags.

I traveled to Crete from NY with my two children and needed bags that were light-weight, on the small side--because of the rental car, and yet would still hold enough for a 10-day trip with iffy weather. We had room left over for our souvenirs. These bags zip up well, because of the cinch-ties, and seem tough. The wheels are impressive and the bags don't fall over, because of the kick-bar at the bottom. We also liked the chartreuse stripes, because it made it easy to spot the bags on the luggage carousel.

I got this bag for my 11 year old son for a trip this summer to the UK. He likes it very much and was able to fit all necessary clothing etc. The bag loaded was under 40 lbs. I had to carry my bag (Osprey sojouner 28) and his up and down flights of stairs at train stations and I managed ok. The compression straps inside and out worked well. He is now addicted to this bag as his regular luggage.

I used the load Warrior LT (large) for 10 days in Mexico. The bag performed well. It rolls easily and is light and is stable. The three most important items for me. It does not have a lot of pockets (2), but I didn't want pockets. The zippers work. The telescoping handle cover is kind of a pain. It seems to catch the handle at times. Handle operation would be more fluid without the cover, but this was not a show stopper for me. The bag is light. The material does not seem too thin, but durability is still a concern. After one trip, there were no weak spots or wear issues. However, time will be the true test.
