Look PX 14 Ti Lifter Legend Wide Alpine Ski Binding
Look PX 14 Ti Lifter Legend Wide Alpine Ski Binding
The Look PX 14 Ti Lifter Legend Wide Alpine Ski Binding still weighs in at just 5.7lb for a pair. With a DIN range of 5-14, this binding helps extremely aggressive attack the mountain. The PX 14 Ti's 6mm of rise under the toe piece and 6.5mm under the heelpiece add leverage to aid carving, especially when mounted on fat or carving skis. The PX 14's suspended heelpiece provides more lateral support and decreases the amount of energy lost between the boot and the ski. You get improved performance without exerting any extra energy. This binding also has improved elastic travel. Elastic travel delivers shock and vibration absorption while guaranteeing a timely release during a fall. The PX 14 is just one more reason to trust your season to a Look binding.
Bottom Line: The PX 14 charges hard without weighing you down.

If you can not find the non lifter version then it is totally possible to mount this binding without the included lifter plates. Just keep in mind that the included screws will need to be shortened or otherwise you will dimple the base of your ski by drilling too far. I mounted the Look PX 14 Ti Lifter Legend Wide Alpine Ski Bindings (sans lifters) on my K2 Pontoons two years ago and have had no problems. You need to bend the brakes to fit around the 130mm waist width. I actually prefer the lowered, next to ski, feeling. It is definitely the way to roll on super wide skis.
