Darn Tough Merino Full Cushion Boot Sock
Tested on Vermont's Long Trail, the wool Darn Tough Full Cushion In-Country Boot Sock is comfortable and durable for the long haul. Darn Tough, a third-generation family business, makes this sock from the finest merino wool, which wicks sweat and regulates your foot's temperature. Plus, your hiking partner won't flee when you take your boots off, because merino wool doesn't retain odor. Dense cushioning surrounds the foot and shin for maximum padding and warmth without bulk. Ribbing above the ankle prevents this sock from slipping or bunching and causing blisters. Added nylon increases the sock's durability.
Bottom Line: Hike to your heart's content in the resilient, cushy, and comfy Darn Tough In-Country Boot Sock.

I used these for a seven day hiking trip in Russia, and a quite strenuous one. I used the socks with CoolMax liner socks, and I came home without even a hint of a blister, which is quite amazing to me. So I definitely recommend these socks!

What can I say. After a whole day in my Lowa Trekkers (in 100 deg. weather) my feet felt as fresh as when I'd put the boots on that morning. These are simply marvelous at wicking moisture away from your feet. The fit is superb and they don't shift and bunch up like cotton socks. I bought a couple more pairs just in case they ever stop making them. Simply outstanding! AAA+++

These socks are great! I never knew my feet could be so comfortable. I took them camping, and when I left my Keen sandals out in the rain (yikes), I grabbed my darn tough socks. My feet stayed comfy all day. The wool wicked away the moisture from the sandals and the cushioning prevented slipping around in the wet shoe. These socks really hug the foot and stay in place.

She says they're quite warm, and almost always wears them when we go snowshoeing. Nice and cushioned, and nice looking too

I wear Darn Tough Boot Socks every day while working in my unheated shop and outside cutting wood in the heart of the Colorado Rockies. The socks hold up exceptionally well and keep me warm in very cold conditions and do not pill or fray.

When I was looking for good wool socks, I started out with mid-level socks like Thor-Lo and WigWam. They were OK, not great. Then I took the step up to premium socks with SmartWool and my feet were happier. A few months ago, I took the step up to super-premium and purchased some Darn Tough full cushion hikers and 1/4 cut merino hikers. WOW! These are the SUVs of socks...they're ready for anything, any day, any time, any conditions. My major complaint with the SmartWool Medium Crew hiker is that it doesn't stay positioned on the foot and leg. Darn Tough socks stay in place. It's a great sock and I tell all my friends to buy a pair and compare with SmartWool. Too bad Darn Tough doesn't make other clothes. Great product!

Not only are these socks tough but also that they are warm and comfy thanks to the REAL golden fleece: Merino wool. The close fit isn't quite as perfect as Teko socks, but I like the function, feel and durability better than Smartwool's. Ironically, they are soft at friendly while, at the same time, practically indestructible.

I love these socks!! They're my new obsession for outdoor gear. They work for any activity/sport. I have both the shorter/ankle sock and the higher "hiking" sock. I found these socks when I started a marathon training program last Jan. They kept my feet warm, dry and blister free. I've used the "hiking" sock for snowboarding, skiing, hiking and just everyday use in the winter. They've been washed so much, but they never get scratchy. Soft and cozy every time. I guess they guarantee them for life because they can; they never wear out! These are soooooooooo worth the purchase!

These socks are super warm. They're a little thicker in the toes and heel so they're really durable, and offer a little more cushioning. I totally recommend these to anyone who skis, snowboards or spends any time out in cold weather.

I have worn these only about 5-6 times so far, but my dog demonstrated how tough these are. My dog found them on my floor, and decided to come to me a play tug-o-war with them. I tried pulling them out of her mount, but it just made her think we were playing even more. I let her go, and found them on the floor later. To my surprise, NO TORN THREADS AT ALL. That’s all I need to say.

These are the most comfortable socks I have ever worn! I have taken them on several long hikes and they are really soft, warm and breathable. New Zealand also needs to be thanked for their sheep.

Bought the low cut Darn Tough socks a couple weeks ago and have been loving so much bought a couple more and a couple of these boot socks for hiking/mountaineering boots. Will also use them in my snowboard boots. These are the best fitting socks I've tried. So far they seem to be holding up great. Very happy feet.
