Darn Tough Merino Wool Cushion 1/4 Sock

I run half and whole marathons. I hike like a fool. These are my second pair. I bought my first pair over a year ago and I still can't tell the difference between my new ones and my old ones. For anyone the is a serious runner, biker, or hiker, or you're just cheap and don't want to keep buy sock ever 6 months; these are the ones you want.

I just finished a mountain race in these socks, up a steep grade and back down. Snow made them soggy, but while waiting at the damp, windy finish line, my feet never got cold. I wear holes in the toes of all my socks like lightning, and these are holding up great so far. I wear womens' 7 1/2 and ordered size small. They're fine, but next time I will get mediums.

These have lasted many washes and wears and keep my feat feeling great. I like them better than the Smartwool equivalent.

these are awesome! I use them for running and for use when I am in my skate shoes. I wore them out at a mt board competition and realized they were the only shoes I packed and so I wore them straight for 4 days, hiking in dirt and getting all gross. They held up great. My shoes and feet did not get all stinky, neither did the socks. They were sure dirty looking but not smelling. Merino wool...one of the best things in the world! The cushioning is awesome. just gives that last little bit of comfort so after being in them for a long time the cushion helps keep your feet happy. When you take your shoes off, the cushion is great to walk around on a hard wood floor.

Over the years I have tried Thorlo, Smartwool, and Teko, but Darn Tough outperforms them all. They are extremely durable,great cushioning, good fit and very comfortable on long runs. And they keep their shape and fit.

As an avid flip-flop sandal wearer, i expected this sock to be like any other sock... uncomfortable... but in purchasing these socks i'm taken aback at the comfort, breathability, smell (lack there of), and pure style of these socks... i am planning on buying a pair for every day of the week, and i'm not kidding. Jumping back to smell, you can wear these things like five times without washing (i thought i'd try it due to the nature of wool (less washing the better)) Enjoy!... Ciao. -N

These socks make me want to wear shoes instead of flip flops. They are that awesome. Perfect for trail running and biking. They are tighter in all the right places.I plan on getting a bunch more very soon. They make me miss and reminisce about my college days in Vermont. They are as awesome as the Green Mountains of that state.

These socks provide great cushion and are super comfortable. A little hard to get on the first time, but man they fit like a glove! Tough is right, I feel that these have top quality construction and a also pleasing to the eye! They are tough to beat!

I love these with my trail runners. They are super comfy and they fit to a tee, no seam in the toe to drive you crazy, they are cool when it is hot, and warm when it is cool. Like I stated above, Darn nice!

I have a few pairs of there socks and I love every one. I have abused them time and time again and they hold up. They keep my feet very dry and comfortable even in the hottest conditions. While running or biking they do not create any friction points and I am never rushing to rip them off at the end. Over all Darn Tough makes great socks and I also love this company because they are in Vermont and Vermont rocks!!

OK, I know it is a sock but when you find something this good, one must spray. I'm slowly changing over all of my socks to Darn Tough. Love the fact they are made in VT. Skied over 50 days in a single pair of their ski socks and I tell you they look the same as when I bought them. These ankle high socks are the best in hiking and bike shoes period.

These socks are the best I've owned so far. I walk numerous miles during my ten hr. shifts in the warehouse. These socks have been snagged, pulled and abused but it doesn't show. Get 'em!
