DC Allegiance Snowboard Boot - Men's
It's no secret that comfortable riders are better riders. With that in mind, DC pulled out all the stops with the Men's Allegiance Snowboard Boot. DC constructed this super stiff all-mountain boot with waterproof synthetic leather uppers that tighten with the BOA Focus System. This setup one-ups standard BOA lacing by giving you two tightening zones to distribute upper and lower pressure evenly and create more heel hold-down than the typical boot. Pair Boa Focus lacing with the heel-holding Alpha liner, and you have the recipe for a high-performance boot. A gel toe pad takes the shock out of hard landings, and DC also included a footbed slot for disposable heated insoles—just ‘cause they love you.
Bottom Line: DC shows their loyalty to your feet with the Allegiance Snowboard Boot.

Ridden these boots 20 days in the last month. so far, so good... Love the ease and convenience of the BOA focus system. The toe box still remains snug. I have experienced some heel lift already, but i do have skinny feet. Overall i am pleased. WORD

Stiff as hell / flexible & comfortable when & where you want it. It is up to you. Forget laces. This boot is fast & efficient. Whatever you want or need this boot does it. I found this boot fit best with thin dress socks. Thicker white socks gave a poor fit with multiple pressure points. These boots are warm and comfortable. The only thing I can not do is drive with them on.

Ok well where do i start, DC have mastered boots. These bad boys are packed with all the features and are soooo soooo comfortable. No heel lift at all, one thing i found them are larger then the size you order, you order a 10.5 in these and they are a size 11. I ride size 11 but in these a 10.5 is comfortable and a 10 would have been real snug but still fine so bare that in mind. Also would have to say they are so easy to put on and off with BOA, what a great design. Go with the DC allegiance and you will not be let down, 110% the best boot on the market.

I was soooo stoked to get these boots. Two of my buddies have the DC boas (older versions) and swear by them so I figured I'd give 'em a go and went for top of the line. The boa system, at first, was awesome, I laced up quick, could adjust to make them tighter/looser very easily, but at the end of the day I couldn't get my right foot out of the boot, the boa system on one side had locked itself up and wouldn't loosen. After struggling for about 20 minutes I was able to painfully yank my foot out, and spent the ride home trying to figure out what was up. After taking off the knob (with the DC-provided tool), I saw that the cables were jammed up and just wouldn't loosen. I'm sure I just ended up with some off the wall problem pair and I wouldn't be scared of buying these again except for other issues about these that just don't work for me. First, these are way, WAY, stiff, that or my old beatup Northwave boots are just ridiculously soft. I rarely buy new gear but I've been riding for 19 years and I did not feel in control in these boots. I could not turn in on my toe-edge for the life of me, nearly died near some trees, something just wasn't right, I think they're just way too stiff for me. Additionally, these are at least an inch longer than my old northwaves, my toe was hangin off for the first time ever (only size 9). Anyway, these seem like a primo boot, the boa system seems awesome, but I just ended up with a bunk pair, and they're just way to stiff for me. PS - they also have RECCO reflectors built-in, so if you die in an avalanche, they'll find you.

I have used two other boots in the past. My first were K2 clickers that were fine for a beginner and my second which were Ride IO lace up boots. The Ride IO's were a good boot except for constantly getting loose. Once I bought these boots that was a thing of the past. I tightened up these boots with the BOA's and off I went. The fit was exceptional and I felt if I had slippers on. They were that comfortable. No chaffing or painful spots. I highly recommend them.

I only rode these boots for one day so I can't give much of a review. However, I can definitely say that if you have a narrow foot do not buy these boots. My ankle was swimming in these and I had them cranked down on my foot as tight as I could get. They felt good at home, but once I got on the mountain and made some turns it was terrible.

Sadly, the 2008 version of these boots does NOT have the air pump as described in another review. I had the 2007 version and they were great -- the dual BOA and the pump were great for my narrow heel/ankle. There was some separation of the rubber on the outside heel (exacerbated by some too-tight flow bindings) and DC was cool enough to replace them with the 2008 version -- but they did away with the air pump! They re-tooled the liner or something to supposedly take care of what the air pump used to do - but it doesn't work as well and now I'm getting tons of heel lift and have to tighten the liner at least 4 times a day. Bummer! (Other than that this is an AWESOME boot. I just happen to have long, narrow feet.)

Old boots were a pair of Vans lace up. Not a bad boot but I was getting ankle pain from the beginning. I thought I would deal with it but it got to the point of severe bruising after two or three days of riding. I saw the add for the Alpha liner and thought I would give it a shot. I have never been more pleased. No more heel lift and the ankle pain and bruising is gone. Memory foam with the Jbars form pockets for the ankle and the BOA system is excellent. I love being able to independantly adjust the upper from the lower and do so on the fly. Excellent product and worth the money.

Comfortable, stiff, one of the best boots I have own so far. Not the lightest, but still very responsive. Double Boa system is a charm. The liner works well, warm and will keep heel lift at a minimum. Price is high but is well worth it.

Just a wonderful boot - DC got everything right with this one. The dual zone BOA means that you don't get a squeeze on the top of your foot when you lean forward from the BOA laces. The alpha liner keeps your heel glued to the bottom of the boot. And unlike Extol33, I have wide feet, and the boot still fits perfectly - I even have some toe room to wiggle, but no loss of control from it. BTW, the 2008 model doesn't have the air pump on the alpha liner - it has a sleeve attached to the shell that wraps around the liner, which is tightened up. This sleeve glues my heel to the boot. Let me make that clear - there is NO HEEL LIFT. Just put in a customized footbed, and you have the ultimate softboots. Oh, the other little mod that I did was I shortened the length of the cord to tighten the liner up - I don't need 2.5 feet coming out of my boot.
My last boots were DC Patrols, and while those were good, the Allegiances are light years better. And while the Patrols ran small, so I needed a 9, the Allegiances seem more true to size; I have a little more room available in the 8.5, and it's a better fit. I'll ride them until they fall apart, and then buy another pair.

These boots are sick! They are super comfortable, and are by far the best boots I have worn. Heel lift is minimized and the boots mold to my feet while keeping them nice and warm. The only beef I have with these boots is that I have to re-tighten them after I walk in them for a few minutes. It's like the boot relaxes and starts to mold to your foot, so you should crank them down again before your first run. Other than that, they are crazy!

I have been riding this boot all season and I love it. I love the 2 zone Boa lace and I think it has just the right combo of forward and side to side flex!
I would recommend this boot to anyone looking for a good all around boot!

Stiff in all the wrong places and completely uncomfortable. Not what I would expect for $300+ boot. Some really nice tech features, but not worth the cash in my opinion.

I love these boots! I can put them on in a fraction of the time it took it lace up the old ones and they are super comfortable. You can make quick adjustments on the fly. I've never rode better boots. Off the mountain you can easily loosen them to chill out with a beer.

I have to say, these are by far the best boots I have tried, and I have been through quite a few (Vans World Travelers, Burton Ions, Salomon F24s, Thirty-Two TM-Twos) to say the least. If you are like me and have narrow feet and/or get quite a lot of heel rise, these babies should Help out! The Inner Booty pump (Alpha Liner) on the side really helps secure your heel to the bottom of the boot and has really minimized my Heel Rise in comparison to other top brands. I usually Pump these about 7-8 times since I have narrow, boney feet, so I use just about the max amount you can inflate them. Funny thing though, These were the boots I was going to buy from the start of last Season, and the Service representatives here all told me not to because they are Not a good sturdy durable Boot; Sucks to say, I tried all those listed above and guess what I ended up with? The Boots they told me were no good, and I LOVE them! BOA makes lacing a breeze, and I can loosen and tighten on the go, No Problems. The durability on these are not too bad since I boarded every weekend last season since Sierra Summit was open In CA, and they have just normal wear and tear on them. I was going to try the ThirtyTwo Lashed boots, but last year they were sold out. If you don't like the price of these try those out for Size. Only 4 out of 5 for these since I still get a minimal amount of Heel lift, but by far way less than any other boot I've tried.
