DAKINE Bronco GT Glove

DAKINE's Bronco GT glove is a perfect glove for those snowriders looking for an excellent freestyle Gore-Tex glove. The low-profile, low-bulk Bronco GT is packed with all the features you'd expect from DAKINE. These Gore-Tex gloves are guaranteed to keep your hands dry in four feet of the dry stuff—or 4 inches of Sierra cement. Super-durable rubberized palms will take all the abuse you can throw at these babies, and the midweight fleece insulation ensures that your hands are cozy as soon as they enter the glove. The nose wipe thumb panel a necessity. Lastly, the waterproof neoprene wrist cuff will keep unwanted snow from annoying you when a powder day pulls out out of the pipe.

Bottom Line: This is a low-profile glove designed for those who ride inbounds no matter what the weather is like.

This lightweight glove is good for spring conditions and with the Gore-tex insert these gloves will keep you dry and comfy all day on the slopes.

Your average wet but stylish glove

By: Cbastus (2)

The Dakine Bronco glove is a low cut no thrills glove that does what it suposed to: keeps your hand warm, even when wet - which they will be, trust me. After three months they white ones are still flashy and nice. The leather has gotten quite warn and yellowish, but I do drag my hands a lot when doing my stuff (handstands, surf turns, digging kickers - that kind of stuff) and it actually was yellowish when I got them. One of the fingers started to fall apart, but some thread and needle fixed that right up. The sizing seams a little weird, the fingers are short and fat and the wrist big. I usually wear a size 8 glove (European size) so i got the Medium. They don't fit all that super, but I do have piano fingers. The liner is real nice on cold days, but on warmer days when your hands get sweaty and wet from snow the lining will stick to your hands and get pulled a little out of place when removing the glove. No biggy but a little annoying. All in all I would by the Bronco for style, not comfort.

Not Awesome

These gloves soak up water like a sponge, the insulation level is good for spring conditions at best (if you can keep your hands from getting wet), and the wrist closure broke the first day I used them. They look good, but thats it.

Wears great tears a little easily

I love the gloves. These are my second pair but the one drawback is that the fingers tear on me for some reason. If you are a newbie and are in the snow a lot they will keep your hands drier than your rear end by the end of the day.

Not real warm

By: KardasNW (3)
February 28, 2008

No surprises appearance-wise from website description. Used the hand measurement technique described and resultant fit was fine. Only issue to date is that hands were cold midday on MtHood in ~27-30degF calm conditions. Not wet, but cold. Using hot-hands solves this, but not a good choice as deep winter glove. No wear/quality issues yet. Low bulk makes good spring candidate.

Feel warm all the time

This glove really prevent you from the cold outside. Fit my hands well. Although some ice crystalline would stink to the middle of the hand back, it won't convey any cold into your hands. Great choice for snow activities

The seams ripped after about a week of use. But, at least the customer service is good. DaKine said they would send me a replacement.

great gloves

January 4, 2008

i got these gloves for christmas and they were great buy, they got snow in them too easy, probably because my wrist is skinny but my hand is big, then i lost one of them so that sucked, and now im lookin for over jacket wrist cover gloves, so i gave them a 4 because of the wrist problem for me, but if you have bigger wrists then you have nothing to worry about

not a good fit

By: Reealz (2)
April 3, 2007

I have big hands and these were an XL but they didnt fit. They were more like a M-L maybe because of the rubber around the finger tips making it smaller than it would have been. I did get a pair of Dakine gloves XL that fit great. I think its the cut on these Broncos.

If your looking for warm dry hands don't look here. My advise is to spend the extra cash on good gloves...

Only gloves for me

These are the only gloves I wear when it is above 15 degrees. They aren't bulky at all. They do run a bit small and you can wash them in the machine.

Durable, but not so much warmth..

By: JungleLarry (7)

I've had these gloves for quite a while and they just never quit. They look like they're brand new, and they've taken some hits. The durability of these gloves is definitely A+ and the waterproofing is outstanding. One complaint I have is when these gloves are put to the test in below 20 degree weather; if the temp gets into the teens, it's time to grab a different pair of gloves. In my case, I've got some Burton Pinnacle XCR's that are perfect for the cold stuff. I think this is a great early- or late- season glove.

Perfect Ski Glove!

By: Dusty (1)
November 10, 2006

It's a Dakine to start with so, not much REALLY needs to be said, but, I seriously think it's the perfect day-to-day ski glove. It's super thin yet thick enough for most cold days, Gore-Tex and style! One heads up, the thumb all the sizes seam the be a little short. If you get a large and think "maybe a XL will be better" nope, same thumb size just bulkier around the hand? But, You'll survive.

Bronco GT glove

By: cali skier (1)
June 23, 2006

Durable. Rugged. Waterproof. Light. I bought these as a warm weather/spring, backcountry glove, but they are surprisingly warm. In fact, I think they will get serious wintertime duty. 3 complaints: 1.They don't really "check the box" for spring/summer backcountry glove due to warmth. 2.The XL is a bit small, and certainly smaller than other XL's I have. 3.When your hand is wet/sweaty, it tends to pull the liner out a bit, creating bunching, making it difficult to put it back on. But overall, I'm very happy. Great looking glove and very low profile at a great price. I can't wait for winter.

Great Glove

By: Rally (3)
March 23, 2006

The glove keeps your hands warm in 30 degree temperatures and it's grippy enough for those grabs in the pipe and jumps. It's not bulky and fits easily under the jacket sleeve. Great all around glove.

Best gloves for performance and for the pipe!

The DAKINE Bronco GT snowboarding gloves fit so well, I could use them as everyday gloves. They're warm, and not as bulky as normal boarding gloves. I have to say get a pair of these if you're a snowboarder. Even more if you like to ride the pipe!

Small Sizing

These gloves are awesome except they definitely run small. I ordered the XL for my husband and had to return them, way too small. They almost fit me (a little large) so just keep in mind when ordering.

Comfy Cozy & Warm

By: LGN (2)
April 20, 2005

These gloves were amazing, not too bulky. Made it easy for me to get in and out of my boots when i needed to. Kept the warmth in the glove which really helped when the weather got to be like 20 degrees. So great gloves everyone should own a pair!

This glove likes to be used. It wants action. Fits great, solid feel, perfect flexibility and movement, and excellent for pulling those grabs. You can remove this glove with no hassle. If your fingers get cold easily, then this glove is probably not for you in the winter. It is not the warmest if you are dealing with temps below 15 degrees. Kept my hands nice and toasty in the 20+ range though. A very well rounded, functioning glove.
