Crank Brothers Egg Beater C Pedals

The Crank Brothers Egg Beater C Pedals' chrome spindle adds bling to your bike, not to mention the smooth release and mud-shedding performance. Even if you're riding in West Coast slop, you won't have to worry about clip-in problems with the Egg Beater C Pedals. With no weight restriction, these Crank Brothers pedals make a great choice for riders who tend to rip a little harder than the rest.

Bottom Line: Works great even in crappy conditions.

Crank Brothers Egg Beaters-weak

By:
August 20, 2008

These pedals are great in the mud, but the weak retention arms stick out like a sore thumb under your foot. I broke mine in less than 50 trail miles. The float and mud shedding is great, but I'll have to see how the warranty is. If not, it looks like I have an extra set of single sided road pedals.

Didn't Last 2 Months!

I bought a Cannondale Rush 4 with this model Egg Beater. After riding on them less than 100 miles, combined trail time, the center spring broke at one end of the tabs, losing the locking capability. Less than a mile later, after having already deciding to head for the car, the opposite pedal broke in the same fashion. I'm currently on the SL with about 100 miles of trails on them. The only complaint is the plastic end cap has disappeared. Looking at going to the Candy SL for greater stability.
